And even if your "membership" to these societies are real- that doesn't lend credibility to your claims that ET doesn't exist.

I can become a member of any society I want, if I have the money. It's not hard to be an editor or a member of anything, if the price is right and I have enough chutzpah and shamelessness.

Just because you belong to a bunch of societies doesn't equal credibility. Some memberships are no more difficult to obtain than a library card.

I have a take. Is it just me that thinks it or is this abundance of 'sightings' mostly just taken place starting in the mid 1900's thru current time? Coincidentally when military top secret aircraft might have been developing?
Are there no records of 'sightings' before the first airplanes? Of course that is getting far back and would be hard to validate either way, just wondering if anyone knows the possibilities of 'pre-plane sightings'?

The stepping up of sightings mid century coincides with the advent of our developing nuclear energy. That is when other beings truly sit up and take notice. We are the kids that got into the proverbial matches, so to speak.

But sightings have occurred for milennia, PoKay1kaDuB. Look at ancient cave art, Mayan art, medieval art, Renaissance art- all have depictions of creatures/vehicles clearly beyond the scope of ancient man. We have been visited for eons. The visual language used might have depicted these disc shapes as "chariots of fire", but make no mistake: they are incongruous with mythology, religion, or the rituals of the time. They make *no sense* in the context of art history, folk lore, or any kind of anthropological tradition. They are anomalous.

Hey LISTEN UP,

I visited both of those web sights, Where is the SO CALLED evidence you brag about. I found no HARDCORE EVIDENCE! Just some guys mumbling about something they thought they saw! Maybe you have to read BETWEEN the lines. May I borrow YOUR glasses. Mine must be CLOUDED UP.

Definately interesting. Although I cannot totally buy in or buy out, I reckon I keep my mind open to the possibility. I wouldn't doubt that it did/does happen. Neither do I have personal evidence or experience to help me out there. I would lean toward the possibility that it does occur but just like any tough to prove subject, what would we do (differently) if we KNEW one way or the other? I might go google cave drawings/aliens or something see what comes up

I am wondering. If there is Intelligent life in outer space visiting earth, why don't they contact the Intelligent people here on earth instead of all these weirdo fanatics. Could it be that they are afraid of our Intelligent beings. And why don't they show themselves in a daylight meeting and show themselves to everyone. THEN, you might make believers out of all of us.
For all of you people, who you say have seen them, why don't you invite them to make an appearance so we can all see. That shouldn't be too difficult for you, OR WILL IT!
Come on, make me a believer!

I believe we are not alone. That said, I don't believe we have been contacted....yet.

The year:1984
The place: Shrewsbury Twp., PA
Time: 4 to 6 am
What I saw: Lights in the sky. About 45° from the southern horizon. First, a blue one. Almost the size of my fist at the end of my arm. I watched, telling myself that I was sane. I looked down, walked around, and ...WOW! Now there was a red one huddling with it. I was about to become unhinged. No noise, and I could see stars through it. As I watched, another red one started. At first, just a pin prick in the night sky, then it grew to the size of the 2 "adults". At this point I am sweating, thinking myself mad, and nobody around.

I drove to the local Rutters (open 24hrs) and asked the clerk if anybody had mentioned lights in the sky. Don't tell me that, I work all night was the answer I got.

When I saw my first acquaintance that morning, I sort of beat around the bush about seeing stuff. Oh, he said, you must have seen the experiments from Wallop's Island,VA. They had launched balloons with some sort of gas, they got to the appropriate altitude and burst. The gas was refracting the light from the sun, and I saw only part of the spectrum. Their experiments made me think I had seen something ET, turns out it was a bunch of meteorologists at work.

OMG! Yes, I saw something like that, too, and it was said to be experimental stuff that was being shot off from one of our islands. It wasn't at that hour, though, and I think it was probably more in the 70's when I saw them because I was riding my bicycle and I beat it the heck home because I thought The End was in sight! Scared the beejeebers out of me! I was so relieved to know that those big things that just like... dropped ... and hung in suspension were "real".

(Now, if only I can find out what that speeding orange-red ball was that hovered over the school in the early 70's was.... that one I still can't explain.... but it wasn;t as frightening as that gaseous stuff that you talked about. Now THAT was really creepy!)

P. S. And, despite the Denver, CO, tag that appears here with my name, I'm also in (south central) PA. Wonder if anyone else outside of PA saw the test gas thing?

the only thing that makes me wonder is
we have all heard of sightings by people in the armed services. why does the government take all of these sightings out of their reports.
i saw the other day on tv that the many servicemen on aircraft carrier FDR witnessed many of them.

Frankly, and unfortunately, there's no way to conclusively determine what this gentleman witnessed. All he has is the standard blob-of-light-that-acts-funny footage. File it under "Unknown".
I really wish our "scientists" would stop looking thousands of light years into space when there's a very real possiblity that what they are looking so hard for for is close enough to tap them right on the shoulder and say HI. Problem is, they're afraid to turn around and see who it is.
yepp, they're afraid of seeing the reality hitting them right in the face, but also, they are so proud of their prowess, they fear losing their credibility as scientists when facing with the possibility of time travel, anti-gravity, the truth about the universe and whatever else the aliens have to offer the humankind...millions of sightings might have been reported since the first one all over the globe, none of the reporters have ever been offered money to lie about for witnessing those events, no glory, no fame... common sense, so why would they lie having seen a UFO ?? why ?? ima tell you why, because they didn't make them up, that is what they saw...they saw something strange unimaginable in the sky, so they tell their stories, that's all there is to it... im not saying 100% of the sightings are tangible or real..of course there are always morons and neanderthal-minded people out there to play those kinda jokes...lol but the vast vast vast majority is to take into consideration..millions of billions of planets in the universe, ihhihihihiihi and only one is inhabited ?? ihihihiihihi this is funnier than my own jokes lol
if what scientist say is true, we have been randomly created by natural events, well with all those planets out there, isnt it obviously normal that all of them also formed life on them ?? of course by the same random chain of natural events.. think about it..
but i think the main problem is the US gov is hiding the truth..and as for the other countries, their gov just don;t want to spend a part their revenue income investigating those sightings...too bad..we cna change the face of the earth with the knowledge we can get from the visitors...
finally, a personal thought, i wish i would see real aliens before i pass away to the other dimension

I've saw something in the sky a few nights last month too (beginning of August). I was in Spring Grove, PA and the lights were in the southern sky, on the two nights I noticed them they were to the left of the moon. Sometimes it looked like there was one light, then it looked like the one light became two, and even at one point I saw three lights in a row, vertically. I may have seen the same thing as this guy.
