This is a very perplexing case. I can't even begin to imagine the emotional torture the family has endured the past ten years. I hope someone can solve this case to give the family the necessary closure.

First, my prayers are with the family. Such a tragedy and I sure hope someone comes forward with something. But then I have to question the paper - you have a huge picture of the trooper and a small picture of Diane. Don't you think it would have made more sense to bring the attention to the missing woman so we could see the picture a little better?

Hometown Transplant - I did that. I was just confused as to where the papers priorities were. Besides, I haven't seen the printed story, but if they print as we see, you can't click on your paper!

have the state police contacted a police pyshic to assist with this case? What do you have to lose!

I think the State Police should go back to Hanover Foods and ask people what they think happened to her. I think the person/people involved sold their farm and moved away many years ago. I was told scenarios of what might have happened and I admit I was totally shocked. Don't know if any of this is true but it would make for a good book. I had never heard of the dust on the car before the article came out in the paper, but the person/people I am referring to lived on a farm. Hmmm

Have you contacted the State Police with this info? |

No, because I don't know if any of it's true. It is alot of he said and she said, but the funny thing is... from the bits and pieces from different people it all went together to form one big story which made a lot of sense. Whether it is true or not it would make a good book with a gun, a dead horse and affairs.

so whats the story? just start your response with "allegedly" dont mention names, just the scenario and you have nothing to be afraid of. |

She probably wanted to leave her life and start new. She probably met someone off the internet and met them down the street from her sisters house and left with them and is living happily ever after.

Same scenario as MyWorld....bits and pieces of the farm incident. I also thought it was on one of the Unsolved Mysteries or Most Wanted shows..

I worked there back then. Stories were flying all over the plant when this happened. The farm story was the most prevalent. I think the ones from there were questioned. I do hope someone there knows the real story and could put this to rest.

Dont Know

It's been 10 years and they still don't know anything...I don't understand that. I guess this case is a fall back on when there isn't anything else to do...if this was my mom/sister/best friend I would be hounding this police daily to see if they have any new leads. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family, I only hope for the best and hope that one day the questions get answered.

how sad-did they check the farm out? Maybe she hid and moved away when the people who lived on the farm did-or maybe.....

I in fact remember hearing someone say something to that effect when she first disappeared. I do not think that any one should just assume that is what happened. People disappear everyday, I think that worst part would be not to know what happened. In any case the woman has been missing for 10 years either by choice or by force and the family needs to know what happened to her. For the families sake I hope that they find some closer. |

I think "the word" is making a joke about the tv show. But I think he is kinda close, if I can recall correctly it was like a pig farm with a dead horse that was buried around the same time as the disappearance. Allegedly the person/people were questioned but heck who is gonna admit to a murder and after all they did have each other as an alibi. I don't think this case was worked on as vigorously as it should have been. I guess since no body was ever found they are thinking it was a person who just wanted to disappear. Which I don't think this is one of those cases. If any of my family members went missing I would be a pain in the a** for the police department. And what about the train man who was murdered behind the Victory restaurant, I think that case should be worked on also. I don't want any unsolved murders in my town.
