ths is very disurbing... realistically, these personalities,,have help with their babies,,,so they are not feeling the realistic burden of parenting.....which in turn, caused normal kids to think its acceptable,...cute little accessories, if you will.... not to mention people mag will not be clamoring to my house, if my child gives birth,,,,,,,,,,,to pay millions for pics,,,,,,,,very very concerning,,,,,,

Jamie lynn Spears, 17 with 1st Baby ??

Late-Bloomer by El Chuco standards,

girls in EP start at 14years old -- just go to Bowie, or Socorro, Canutillo, etx.

Boycut US Weekly, eventhough I don't know who Jamie Lynn is, and never know a song by Spears.

It's not just EP. Try a 12 year having an abortion, in good ole Littlerock CA. Kids are having kids younger and younger now a days pretty scary. But what is the problem really, it's not Spears, little girls have been having kids even before then. What seems to be the probles in EP? Here, I think it is just plain boredom.

Have to def. agree with you! being a controlling parent is always a plus. i came from a controlling family and I am proud to say that i turned out well. Still have friends working at local stores with no college education. Nowadays, even a 4 year degree is not enough to get by in this world we are living in. Need more strict parents in this world. Not the so-called ghetto parents who dont really care what their children are doing.

I think it's more the overly generous welfare programs, especially the ones here on the border that make pregnancy so appealing, even in the middle schools like we so often see along the border.

There's no hardship. A Mexican girl can arrive here pregnant and once the baby is out, she retires to a comfortable welfare life. No more need to think about working for a living.

These girls' children grow up of course never having a father in the picture and they see it as perfectly normal for their own daughters to be knocked up by age 14 getting their own welfare checks.

Like someone said, age 17 would be seen as getting rather long in the tooth to start popping out the babies here in this city. Girls of 17 are often on their 3rd or 4th baby.

Isnt that an el paso thing though. Most every female in el paso has a child. Well, single mothers at that. You see them at the bus stops with their lil shorts and halter tops with all that lipstick and mascara, pushing the stroller, with their long nails, chewing gum and talking on the cell phone while their child is screaming for milk! oh yeah, lets not forget the mothers/grandmothers with their grandkids at chicos while the mother is at home recovering from last night at Grahams or 101!!!!!!!!!

Like that saying "what is a good gift to give at a quinceniera?"

The answer is "shoes for a 2 year old". Confirmation dresses in El Paso are often maternity style.

I am 22 years old and i had my first of my 2 kids when i was 15. I live a better life on welfare than my friends live from working out of their college degree. What has made me to life this comfortable life is the government. I mean i get money for food and on top of that i dont pay really much ($188/month) for my house from housing project. I know i dont pay taxes and all and still get a good lump sum of money back at the end of the year from income tax, but why blame me when the government offers all this. why would i say no to the help!

Letting go a lttle at a time is a good thing. But I let my daughter get out and have fun with her friends also. Friends that I know since they were little kids. When she gets new friends they must meet me, if I don't like them I don't allow her to hangout with them. If she talks to them at school I can't change that. But I think I am doing pretty good, she is almost 17 still a virgin and already getting some college credits under her belt. She wants to be an RN just like her mom. Leting go was hard but I trust her and the morals I instilled in her.

One thing your firends have that you don't have is self respect and the ability to show thier kids that they wotk hard for what they provide for them. I didn't have much as a child but I always respected my mom and appreciated what I did have because she worked hard for it. I have now instilled those values in my child, she doesn't wait around for the world to hand her things she works for them. Welfare may be there for you, but hopefully not for your kids, so please show them that hard work is nore honorable than having somebody else pay for them.

Well i am using what the government offers but hopefully if GOD continues to give me the strength, i will finish with my education in the spring. Will be graduating with a Diagnostic Medical Sonography and plan to train up so that i can do Echos. Not many techs do that here in EP. I may have use the system, but after i finish my school all that will stop. Kind of a way to help me have a stress-free environment while in school. So i a doing something with my life, but only wanted to say that the government helps people too much and some people take it for granted and never do something well with their lifes. Hopefully i find me a nice cardiologist when i start working in the field and I will live even better!!!

You were starting to gain some of my respect up until the cardiologist thing. You should always do for yourself and not expect others to do fo you. The cardiologist might never happen. And if it doesn't you should be able to take care of yourself, this way you marry somebody you love, not somebody to take care of you.

Good Lord in Heaven. These idiot girls think it is 'cool' to have their babies early. OMG i would like to smack them AND their parents for NOT BEING PARENTS. It's bad enough that they are enjoying welfare, but to brag about it to those of us who work for a living and are apparently supporting them.

AND....medically speaking, this cannot be good for 13, 14 15 year old girls to be giving birth at such young ages. Their bodies are still forming, developing.

oh man, don't get me started here.:D

At my son's high school, there were so many preg girls, and only 1, maybe 2, were white. the others were non-white, and based on the turnover in the grade levels, the remainder were most likely illegal aliens. It was sickening at graduation to see these girls with their bellies protruding under their graduation gowns, and their yearbook pictures including their children!

Ok...i'll STHU because i need to take some blood pressure meds. These parents need some SERIOUS parenting classes. O M G

It was just a joke, i am doing all this for my children and I. The cardiologist will never happen, even though i still look like i never had any kids....Still have my body!! thanks to the personal trainers at EP FITNESS!!(wink wink)!! But i understand, i am doing all this so i can take care of what i created. Since the sorry **** father of my two kids never mentioned that he was married. He was in the military stationed here in EP back then.

As you can see i have been on this topic or a little bit longer than you. I aready to an extra dose of my B/P meds. I am trying to be as nice as possible, because after all, these stupid girls are children, who probably didn't have parents to teach them right from wrong. I hate having to pay for thier kids, but I do feel sorry for the fatasy world they live in. With the way things are going I hope welfare won't be around for long. Or they will at least set a limit to how many children and how long we should be providing for them.

Curious and Curious-er, take some lasix, it will help lower your blood pressure. It is sometimes the solution for high blood pressure, but if you need another med for that, try getting some beta-blockers as a combination to help lower your bp, hope you feel better. I used to help out at a Mayo clinic before, i know a lil something here and there!!
