Mayor's help sought in police case

The lawyer for the city police officer arrested for allegedly stealing a department garden hose is calling on Mayor James Della Volpe to investigate Chief Kevin Hale.

What were they going to do with a garden hose?
Clean up those abandon looking industrial buildings on East and North Main Streets?
As a visitor to the town, I needed to drive away from the area as quick as I pulled in to that gateway area. What a mess and what a priority to be concentrating on as a city, a garden hose?
Cases like this are settled out of court most likely costing the city thousands due to counter-reaction losses. I as mayor would as the chief...What were you thinking?
