The secret history of America’s “extraordinary rendition” program.

Geneva Conventions
On January 27th, President Bush, in a interview with the Times, assured the world that “torture is never acceptable, nor do we hand over people to countries that do torture.” Maher Arar, a Canadian engineer who was born in Syria, was surprised to learn of Bush’s statement........There's more

Ummm, we drop bombs on terrorist hideouts and "accidently" kill and maim innocent women, children and babies in the process, and then we label it - collateral damage. And you're upset about a terrorist with a face full of water? God and the Bible have very little to do with modern warfare my friend. Very little. God forgives many things, but never the killing of a child by either side.
Where is that in the Bible?Obviously you have not read the Bible.

THE LATTER IS TORTURE, THE FORMER IS A 'SIMMULATION' you retarded, dumb pussy liberals.
You also are under the strict believe that incarcerating a mass murderer is a form of torture, cruel and unusual punishment.
NEVER ONCE HAVE YOUR LIBERAL POLITICIANS COMPLAINED WHEN THE ISLAMICS SLICED OFF THE HEADS OF AMERIKAN SOLDIERS. They totally justify this because they loath your military and the more of your soldiers die by whatever means, the better.
Conservatives need to create an artial bomb which surgically strikes and kills only liberals.
Thank You! Very well said.

GW and whoever may follow him, is just the poster boy/girl who takes the slings and arrows thrown at him/her by the media and Joe citizen. The real "movers and shakers" remain mostly silent. HOSTILE AGENTS... sitting in seats the voters gave them and these people are the ones we need MOST TO SPIE ON. No one will have time to reflect on how socially appropriate it is to civil liberties when a mushroom grows over the heads of every hometown cityhall lawn in America one Thursday afternoon. No one will remain to moarn the demise of the greatest nation in history but our enemies.

Well written! Now, if we could just convince the rest of America. It's time to wake up and fight the enemy from within.

It's even more pathetic for a country to not even have the testicle fortitude to administer its' own torture. When we farm it out to other nations to do our dirty work, it's beyond judgment.

Surely you're not suggesting we just give up and be good little lemmings and go along with the program, are you? I think most of us know there is a shadow government in place and things aren't what they seem. Bush is just the front man...the baffoon to entertain the masses while the real deals take place elsewhere. Perhaps there is nothing the masses can do about what goes on behind closed doors but we can understand it, learn how it functions and prepare to provide for our families while the shadow elite play their, for real, game of Risk. I have grandkids. I assure you, it's not about vanity.

What on earth are we supposed to do with barbaric and cowardly people who just blow up anyone who happens to be around, a little water torture is nothing if it protects my family from these sad people.
Besides from being against international treaties which we have signed, thereby making torture an illegal act, and besides the fact that we tried Japanese Officers after WWII for using waterboarding and other means of torture, found them guility and executed them (And Japan was the only country to be bombed by WMD's, thereby justifying the use of torture in Bush's little mind)
TORTURE DOES NOT YIELD RELIABLE, USABLE INTELLIGENCE.

That fact has been proven time and time again. When Bush says that waterboarding forced Shiek Kalid to give us vital information-I say BULL FVCKING SH*T.

How do we know Bush isn't lying. after all here are some famous Bush lies
I will get Osama bin Laden
Iraq is capable of launching a WMD attack in 45 minutes
Iraq and Saddam have WMD's
Al Qaeda is in Iraq (Before Mar 03)
Heck've a job Brownie
The economy is strong
We're not in a recession
We are shooting down the satellite because it poses a threat

I've worked with Interrogator Translator Teams in the Corps-and they know torture only gets you the answers the subject thinks you want to hear.PERIOD.

Torture any info from torture is bogus info. The use of torture is to send a message to the general population. If you lived in a country that used torture and you saw the victims of torture you would tow the party line. A torture victim is a living reminder not to mess with the powers of ones country. Maybe BUSH is testing the waters.
The info we got from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed was not bogus info. In fact it probably saved the lives of countless Coalition soldiers and Afghanis/Iraqis in general. We used waterboarding on him. I don't care what you want to believe, but torture works. It worked on the US soldiers captured by Saddam in Desert Storm and it worked on John McCain in Hanoi. Waterboarding is a far cry from real torture. You know, like the kind Saddam and his sons committed every day. Throwing someone into a human shredder is torture. Burning off body parts with acid is torture. Simulated drowning is scary.

Just how in the world would you know that the info we got from Khalid Sheikh Mohammed after torturing him was useful and reliable???

BECAUSE BUSH SAID SO?????????

Man if you are that gullible, give me your name and phone number, I want to do business with you!!!!

do you know how to tell when Bush is lying???

Sorry, vanity was the wrong word. I'm prepared for the crush mentally, but already an old fart. There are a few patriots left, so what comes out of the ashes of semi-civilized man, can perhaps be built upon.
