i believe the man threw his glasses at his car was that in the heat of the moment???? yeah so if you want to think that he should go to jail because he ran over a mail box and hit him over the head with a golf club all because it was in the heat of the moment!!! its hipocrytical to say that. do they even have to golf club? no they have no evidence that he did that. think about it if he addmitted to hitting the mailbox then why would he lie about that.

Listen kids, if someone throws something at your car you're supposed to call the police. It's that simple. That's how civilized societies function. Survival of the fittest is for animals. If you live your life like an animal with disregard for the safety of others you will end up caged in jail. Simple.

I was on vacation in Ireland and could not believe this story came up in the NY Times. I've been a Monroe resident for over 40 years. My children were not raised this way. I'm sure Mommy and Daddy will take care of it. This is why these problems occur. Name sounds really familiar - has he been in trouble before. My bet is the kid will get away with a slap on the hand cause Mommy and Daddy have cash. I grew up in the Hollow and my husband and I worked two jobs to give my children an education, values and respect. Imagine if it was a Black or Spanish kid. They'd still be in jail. What ever happened with the court date? Haven't found anything in the paper. Also sounds like the girl sticking up for him must be his girlfriend/sister or a fellow Monroe richy. I do not mean to put all Monroe parents down. My sister and brother live there but this is unacceptable. This poor guy!!!! Kick butt in court buddy - Set an example for the new generation.
