You know I have to agree that Mr. Haver had a right to be upset that his daughter had to see that offensive picture. But I disagree with the way he went about handling it. I believe if Mr. Canfield had some other type of offensive photograph on his sign like a naked man or a naked woman then the situation would be treated differently. Small children are not able to read. And young children who can read either don't pay attention or don't understand the meaning. If Mr. Canfield was a man of morals, as I am sure he claims to be, he would have his sign in text only. Why does he want to traumatize small children is that his goal? I doubt it. If you want to send a message and not traumatize small children who don't understand, please use your words not offensive graphics. Besides I interpret speech in the first ammendment as words, as in spoken and written. To me photographs don't qualify as speech and should not be protected as such.

It would sure be great timing for me to be called to jury duty when Mr. Haver's case comes up. Mr. Canfield is way out of line with his poster.

I am a liberal and believe in freedom of choice. I could never tell another woman what she could or could not do when she is faced with that life changing experience, though I would NEVER do it myself. I also believe in freedom of speech. But there should be a certain amount of descretion when in public view with graphic photos. Violence never solved anything.

Funny how just a few weeks ago, the widespread & justifiable national outrage over the murder of a doctor, whom happen to proform a certain procedure that while legal, is a discusting event to many.

Yeah, I bet the sign holder just loves children. I bet he sends all kinds of money to starving kids and volunteers at women's shelters. I bet he supports school lunch programs and head start. I bet he does everything he can to help the unwanted kids of this world.
Or is it just that he hates women and gets some cheap power thrill by holding up a bloody sign that would scare the he** out of any kid?

It appears that this Country is experiencing an increase in radical liberal supremacy group activities. I can see from the "mentally ill" liberal posts on this site that it is a travesty when a murdering abortion doctor gets killed, but it would be ok if a mentally ill liberal kills an innocent protester.

If your willing run someone over in a car because you disagree with their point of view, then you do not need to be out playing with the other children, you need a really long time out.

It sounds like you need some time alone too. If you can't at the very least respect someone's opinion, even if you do not agree, then you are no better then Haver, and you both need to spend time away from the rest of us.

Just because the photo was out of line, which they usually are from this organization, does not mean Haver had the right to decide the possible life or death of Canfield. Unless you personally know Mr. Canfield, how do know what he really does in regard to charity work? You, just all the rest like you are making nothing more than guesses, and they are like **** H****s, everybody has one an they all stink. You can't even make a good arguement, you should just listen to the news instead of reading it.

Am I reading this correctly? Are people really siding with the driver? It is NEVER okay to run people over with children in your car. On top of that he has illegal plates. And to let him go because he had a "medical emergency." What were the police thinking? This is really scary.

It was just self defense. After reading about how these christians deal with abortion he figured better run him over before he starts shooting.

While the picture is a bit over the top it is reality, babies are torn to peices to accomidate peoples sexual lifestyles. The reason we dont want kids loking at them is because we know that children are moraly pure and we could all learn from them regardless of left or right winged agendas

Have you ever tried to drive through that parking lot and go to Planned Parenthood while the activists are there? Good luck! They harass you when you get out of your car, yelling at you, calling you names, and yes shoving their obscene signs into your face. If my child saw that I would be upset to.
I wouldn't run somebody over, I would call the Police and press charges. Simple and Easy!

The pictures are more than over the top! They are certainly not the reality of abortion choices. They are of third trimester partial birth abortions, which are not legal. Women do not choose to have a third trimester abortion. Partial birth abortions only take place when the life of the mother is in jeopardy or the baby has already died and has not miscarried. It is inaccurate and inflammatory to present those pictures as a representation of the abortions that happen at the woman's center or planned parenthood.

As it is the man should be ashamed of his actions, especially considering his child witnessed them. He should be held accountable in court. The protester I hope, will look at his sign a think about whether or not it's the right picture to use. Maybe he should do more research into the laws and actual practices of abortion so he is aware of what he is protesting.
