This story had over 20 comments. They 'updated' the story (looks verbatim to me), all of the comments are gone.

Why?

Either way, this story is just a cover up the cops are using for accidentally killing someone while doing their regular arrest-then-beat-them-down routine.

He died falling out of a wagon that was not moving? How high up was he? 15 feet? How do you fall out of a wagon if you are sitting it?

Trying to escape with hand-cuffs on is not very smart. The cuffs hinder your balance somewhat.

Your and idiot; he tried to get away and killed himself. End of story. The police did not ask him to go and perform a wife-beating to get arrested. Maybe he should have thought about that before he decided to violate a protection order...what do you epect to happen, good things?

Why don't we let a propper investigation take place? In general the CPD deals with a lot of dysfunctional low-lifes, but both sides of the story need to be evaluated before any conclusions are reached

You can bet this story will be updated tomorrow about how much his family is going to miss him. The survivors just won the Chicago lotto. Expect big tax dollars to settle this one.
