I HATE THIS!
HUMBLE STUMBLE WAS AWESOME!
i'm in junior high, and it was a comic strip that kids my age liked, and could relate to. and my little brother REALLY liked dog eat doug. plus, bliss dosn't make any sense, and neither does free range. AND it is mostly kids who read the comics, so i'm surprised that you will take away two of the BEST comic strips for kids.
I repeat, HUMBLE STUMBLE WAS AWESOME!

I highly object to you canceling the comic strip "dog eat Doug" it is my families favorite!!
"Bliss" and "Free Range" speak to a few people not families.
I find it hard to believe you'd cancel "Dog eat Doug" and leave inane strips such as "Ink Pen" "lio" "get Fuzzy' "Sylvia" "Brewster Rockit"
PLEAE RECONSIDER & BRING IT BACK!!!!!!!

We are sad to see the two comics go. My kids looked forward to Dog eat Doug everyday. Every other month the tribune seems to change up its comics. Get rid of Brewster or Hector or even Lio. In the last few years I have cut my time to read the comics in half because you have discontinued some of my favorites and the new additions are not enjoyable.

I was surprised (shocked) yesterday morning to see Dog Eat Doug had been cut from the comic page. This is the first cartoon I would look for in the morning and the main reason why I look at Tempo. Please bring Dog Eat Doug back...I miss it.

I think I sent an e-mail on Nov. 12 exprssing sorrow that DED was cancelled. Oh, well, doesn't hurt to reiterate. Would like the Sunday strip too. Also, what about putting the title strip on Sunday Mutts? The art work is extraordinary. Joanne in Stl Charles

It is a shame that Dog Eat Doug is canceled. It is the best and funniest comic strip in the Trib. If they want to get rid of a comic they can remove the archaic and lame Brenda Starr.

I lost my comment somehow. Please bring DeD back. I wrote on the 12th directly to Tempo. Also would like to see title box on Sun. Mutts.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the Monday Tribune and saw that Dog Eat Doug had been dropped from the comics page! You didn't even ask the readers if they wanted it gone or not. The comics pages are the first thing I open when I get my paper and Mutts and Dog Eat Doug are the first comics I read. Those two strips do more to put a smile on my face every morning than anything else.

PLEASE BRING BACK DOG EAT DOUG!!!

What's with yanking the DogEat Doug comic without a reader poll?? Practically any of the other stupid comics should have been on the chopping block before DogEat Doug!

Please bring back The Humble Stumble. It was funny and showed a positive father/daughter relationship. I'd gladly dump Brewster Rockit or Non Sequitur.

I've been reading comics in your paper since I was a kid and for the most part they had been getting older, smaller and stale. Then along came an extremely clever new strip called Dog Eat Doug that made me want to read the comics again, with newcomers Lio and Humble Stumble also brightening your pages. Terrific artwork and humor in all of them, a combination sorely lacking in comic strips these days. I then found myself looking at those three strips before getting to some of the older tried and true ones.
And now you cancel TWO of the best new ones? Even Doug would look confused over that decision! If I keep reading Lio will you cancel that one too?
I would rather see you discontinue the reruns of Peanuts or For Better or For Worse and give some new comic strips a chance. Or move those two strips into the general Tempo Section for those who love reruns. Or better yet, cancel Raising Hector and Watch Your Head, the only two comic strips you publish I absolutely cannot get into, and which often lack any real humor.
Make your funny pages funnier again. Bring back Dog Eat Doug and Humble Stumble. I need to know whether or not the bus crashes!

Please bring back "Doug eat Dog" to the Chicago Tribune. It was a favorite part of my morning to see Sophie and Doug get into trouble each day. It's a shame the Tribune didn't ask their readers what comics to keep. Dog Eat Doug should definately be brought back!
