I don't recall Britney making political judgments or statements while proclaiming to be a "good" person with Christian values. Common sense.

Consider who it IS. Britney Spears' antics have been in the news for so long that nobody pays attention to anything she does anymore.

Probably because there are already numerous topless photos of her out there, along with a few shots of her freshly waxed... cat.

She also has not spoken at numerous church functions, professing her family's strength is derived from it's deeply rooted sense of faith.

She has promoted modesty and family values. She said the devil tempted her with the question she is so proud she answered, yet, instead of saying the same about her topless photos or the interest over her breast implants, paid for by the pageant, she says she is being picked on for her beliefs.

She takes no responsibility for her own actions, but demands accountability from others.

Spears, OTOH, hasn't been viable as 'role model' material for a LONG time and even then, a parent who allows their child to model after a bubble gum pop princess... let's just say there are better choices.
Spears hasn't been, or tried to be, a pillar of virtue in a long time.

A better comparison would probably be Prejean and Miley Cyrus, but, as of yet, Cyrus has only sent around pictures of herself in a bra or exposing her panties.

I'm failing to see the big deal with any of this.
Christians are not being oppressed, no matter how much they wish they were (everybody wants to be the underdog ~~ makes for a better story, doesn't it.)
This chick whines a lot, but she has made a bunch of money and carved out quite the niche for herself and now that she was fired (for legitimate legal and financial reasons) she has even more pull with her fan bois and is in the position to rake in even more dough.

Now, she can get the heck out of my newscycle.
