ditto. But I suggest that the process be transparent and that it be COMPETITIVE which means advertising nationwide (like most depts. do) while still allowing our own officers to compete. This way we get the best person for the job. No more backroom deals!

Question for Agular.

You are a member of the Beautification Committee. There was a Gang and Drug house on Primrose street across from Puckett Elementary School. On the final vote (after months of grace periods) of city Council to have it torn down. The only two, out of eight, city councilors who voted NOT to have it torn down were you and Jeff Diamond. Why did you vote not to have it torn down.

Notice: The date and the location of the City Council forum have been changed:

The forum will be on Monday, Feb. 22, at the Powerhouse -- the city Recreation Center east of the river.

This event is a joint effort of Southwest Organizing Project, LULAC, MECHA and the Current-Argus.

Audience members will address their questions directly to the candidates. In case there are not enough questions from the audience, planners ask interested residents to submit questions as well.
Please submit your questions online, through the comment feature to this article.

With the help of you readers, there will be a broad range of topics for the candidates to discuss, and that will help voters make their decision on election day.

And no more wack jobs like Jim Koch who had a family in Tuscon and one here. And would cruise in his umarked car late at night, pulling over only the good looking women.
