How in the world have the "low-life real estate people" "ruined this town"?

By selling the property the residents have chosen to sell. Isn’t that helping the residents? What I see is a win-win situation. Someone wants to sell and the “scum” as you put it, helps them do exactly that. So what’s the problem?

Low life real estate brokers worked with low life developers to cut up many areas like Firefly and Reynolds Mtn plus they scammed ignorant "investors" into overpaying for lots. Real estate brokers are quite similar to used car salesmen.

Well, they got the "slide" part right. Wait till we have a good freeze and then for Spring thaw....bet they have a sliding party then.

99.9% of real estate brokers have nothing to do with making decisions for developers. The developer works with a team.

If you want to blame someone for developments, the team would include:
1. The original land owner who sells the land
2. The developer who buys the land
3. The investors who finance the project
3. The land planners who lay out the project
4. The surveyors who divide out the lots
5. The real estate attorney(s) who handle legal matters
6. The architects who design all the development's structures
7. The building contractors who manage the construction project
8. The construction crew (plumbers, electricians, carpenters, stone masons, brick masons, etc.)
9. The home inspectors who inspect the homes
10. The appraisers who assess the value of the lots and the homes.
11. The advertising companies that develop brochures, websites and marketing materials to promote the development.
12. The media (magazines, newspapers, Internet, TV, etc.) that carry the advertising message to potential buyers.
13. The banks and lenders who lend money to help people buy the lots and the homes, based primarily on the value that the appraisers have assessed

By the time real estate brokers come in to sell the homes (if they do at all -- most developers sell their own lots and homes without real estate agents involved), its near the end of the entire process.

At any rate, if what other land owners do with their land makes you unhappy, you're going to have to start blaming one heck of a lot of people for your unhappiness.
