Man charged with reckless driving after crash halts traffic

Here is yet another example how 4 wheelers cause more accidents than 18 wheelers do. In fact, when was the last accident in which a truck was found at fault or caused a major back up. Once again, it is 4 wheeled vehicles that pose more dangers rather than us 18 wheeled professional drivers are. Sad to say, but it is the idiots who never learn from others mistakes, they continue to drive dangerously before it takes their own or someone else's life.

I would LOVE to see DMV make the written test as difficult as the commercial drivers license is. Also have all driving tests require others to pass using a cell phone while driving exam. I guarantee that if that was to happen, 70 percent of people would fail and would never be able to drive. Also make the standard passing score 80 percent too!

Then, have it mandatory for everyone to have a 65 mph governed engine. Thats right, EVERYONE's vehicle can go no faster than 65 mph. Anyone who fails to do so will lose their privlages to drive until they get it done!

So, now we have yet ANOTHER 4 wheeler causing havoc on others. So to all of the truck driving bashers: What do you got say now huh? IN YOUR FACE! Take that and accept that most accidents are caused by 4 wheelers. Come on cry babies, lets hear responses to my post, I am sure there are some 4 wheeling idiots who would love to jump on the bandwagon and piss away!

Approximately 3 weeks ago when a 15 month old lost his life due to one of your Superior 18 wheeler drivers not paying attention.

Yeah 3 weeks ago. However, numerous more 4 wheelers have had more accidents. Just on Friday alone, I had to go to Bryson City. On the way going west on 40, I encountered a backup in traffic due to a rear-end collision. The backup lasted for 30 minutes. After SHP got there, traffic moved freely again.

After coming back from Bryson City, again on the west bound side of 40. YET another 2 car accident invlocing 4 wheelers. And yes it was a rear end collision. Damn thats 2 accidents from 4 wheelers within a 1.5 hour period. hmmmmmmm. I wonder what people might think of these stats!

more than 5.5 million cars caused accidents in 2006.

I guess 2007 car accident rates cant be configured yet because there are much much more of them than truck accidents.

Drivers: Dont be stupid all of your lives, one day trucks will be the only ones allowed on interstates and you small 4 wheelers will stay to your secondary 55 mph speed limit highways. I pray that will happen sooner than later!

Yeah, Mtnbred is a coward. She will not respond when she is called out. I've been trying to get her to respond in another thread where she called me a liar and spread chit about me. When confronted with her lies, she has since hidden/retired from that thread.

Some woman had the gall to call the number on my trailer about my driving today. little does she know that that number hits my cell phone instantly. I paused for a few seconds to recollect myself as I did notice a dodge caravan with a woman on a cell phone tailgating myself. She then stated should I keep following him and report to SHP? I then said, go ahead and try to call SHP. I could not help myself to the effect of letting her stay on my tail for miles. I then told her " oh you must be the one tailgating me and reporting me speeding right? Because, I am sure that any state trooper you call and tell them that a truck is going too fast like between 70 and 75 mph in a 70mph posted speed limit zone, then they will laugh at you"

She then asked who I was. I told her I dont give my name to anyone who does not give out theirs. She was so mad that she got caught up in her own faultiness that she swerved over, hung up the phone and flipped me off. Now thats the kind of people who call the numbers on the back of the trailers just to get someone fired and stuff. I hate people like that and that is the reason why I have the number go to my cell phone. I can always just about 99.9 percent of the time point out someone who is complaining about me, they are doing something themselves but want to get someone else in trouble.

Gotta love those soccer moms

Next time anyone calls my number to complain, you better be in the right and not doing something yourselves.

So because you drive a 18 wheeler you are perfect and so are all of your "GOOD BUDDIES" how do you get to and from when you are not working? You must have a 4 wheeler as you call them, so I am sure you are the best driver on the road. People like you sicken me. Most of the men & women who drive bir rigs think they own the road and you are one of those people. And besides I think you are lying about the phone call, why would the call go to your cell phone and not to the office of the company you work for. You are a disgrace to the trucking industry!!!

It is ALWAYS the 4 wheel drivers who are at fault in every accident that happens involving big rigs and that is not always the case, and this person is always blaming others. And besides I have a right to feel the way I do about the big rig drivers,Just walk in my shoes for a while and see what it is like for a while. People like him make me sick. Go ahead and say what you want. At least most people know how to spell what correctly. If you have read my previous posts on other topics, you would have read wher I stated I am an owner operator. Since you can not spell sinple words I will break it down for you. An owner operator operates his or her own rig. They haul freight either directly from the point of origin which is extremely rare without a broker. Usually a broker is involved in the deal and both the owner of the rig and the broker come to terms on a settlement to deliver goods. Since I own my own truck, I can post my own number on the trailer you goofball!

I work for nobodu, I set my own work hours. I drive whenever wherever I want. I also maintain my own rig, pay for my own fuel and pay all unecessary tolls from the state in which you live in. Your roads in Illinois are horrible especially the toll roads. I never once said I was a perfect driver, but my commercial MVR states so. I drive my own tractor from work to home and park it on my driveway. I own a 1985 6 wheeled Chevy Custom Deluxe. So I do not in fact drive a 4 wheeled vehicle. I have not done so since 1994 when I bought the chevy.

You can try to infiltrate me with your tantalizing tactics, but they do not work here in the south buddy. Bloomington Illinois reminds me of when winter weather hits, almost 3-4 four wheeled vehicles line up in the median or side because they think their 4X4 makes them immune to ice and snow. But thats okay, remember what you said to truckers when WE deliver food to feed your obese SOB!

Remember the I-40 accident you posted and was trying to say it was the 4 wheel drivers who caused that accident, well guess what buddy the trucker was charged! And when you walk in my shoes and your entire family was wiped out because of one you idiots then you can tell me how I can feel but until you need to shut the **** up. I dont care what you haul or what you own. What I am saying to you is that you have no compassion for others.
