Mumpower either needs to run for party chair or congress.... not both. This guy who claims to run a principled campaign continues to break his word to his supporters. What principle is that? First he promises to be an "independent" Republican and refuses money or help from the party - his website still tells this lie. Then he changes position and claims to need the borg like support of party leaders in order to continue. Oh, and remember that promise to make a hard run of it... no matter what? Remember that other promise he made to leave his campaign to the support of the people? He breaks that promise and suspends his campaign. He seems to be a liar's liar. He continues to say one thing and do another. Just look at his record on property rights. He claims to support private property rights but openly supports forced annexation - seizing your property into the city limits without any vote.

Mumpower opposes annexation in principle, but he also opposes the State's position on the water agreement because it infringes on a right the City has that is not infinged on other cities.

The only principles this guy has ever had involve stroking his ego and thumping his frail chest in a pathetic attempt to get attention and acceptance. He's always been nothing but a grandstanding buffoon with extremely limited ability and delusions of grandeur like several other current members of city council. Anyone who gives him more credit than that just needs to listen to him talk more. If that doesn't convince you, nothing will. Our city really deserves better, but we get who we vote for.

Mumpower claims to be against the "special interest".... lobbyists and the like....
BUT
He actually sits on the board of a special interest group that has paid lobbyists!!!! This guy actually helps direct money and support to lobbyists! Check it out for yourself. Check with the John Locke Foundation. Is this just another Mumpower half-truth?
