Maybe the citizens of Alamogordo need to take a real good look at the commision, and Mayor. with one arrested and the other one in diapers ( Chris Luhan ). These are the people representing us, what a joke, Luhan makes a mockery of the system.

Downhill would be the first thing to enter my mind.

SO this city official is running a business in El Paso and driving there with no liscense? And he knew about this for SEVERAL years? What kind of city commissioner is this? I think its time to get him the axe too.

What a fine job the voters did this time. Liars, cheaters, abusers, oh my!
Mr. Brewer wants to take responsibility for his actions? For continuing to drive for how many YEARS without a license? The citizens of this city should watch this case very closely. Will this man be treated as any other? Judge Stokley has proven in the past to be a man of integrity and common sense (from what I can see, as I do not know him personally). What ever the outcome of this case, the residents of Alamogordo had better get a grip on the shinanigans taking place in our local government. Shall we continue to be the joke of this state or reevaluate our traditional apathy and self interest? |

Whoa! The last two comments posted on here just disappeared! Interesting that they were both questioning this person driving for several years illegally, isn't it?
Liars, cheaters, abusers...oh my! These people certainly do not represent me. Our traditional apathy and self interest have bit us on the butt this time, eh? I am really tired of Alamogordo politics being the joke of this state, but how in the world does anyone defend this? |

Breaking the law should be grounds for dismissal, period.
|
|
SO you can get arrested for beating your wife, driving around on an suspended license, admitt that your guily of the charges, and keep your seat on the city counsel. What the !@#$$% is with these people.

The commission that we have now is better than the commissions in the past. It looks like they are actually going to get things done. Lujan may be young, but he brings the vision of todays youth to the table. Politics and Government is not just about the old or the middle-aged, it is about the rights and concerns of everyone. The diapers comment was uncalled for. |

If he was a city "employee" that would possibly be the case. He is an elected official and should be held to an even higher standard. He answers to the voters. The only way he can be fired is to be voted out in the next election or to be "re-called" by the voters. |

And if I recall correctly it was not that long ago that Lujan was the one behind bars. Don't recall what it was for. An outstanding warrant maybe???
