I thought it would be nice to have a general chat thread. Use it to say hello, good night or whatever!

OK. Here goes.
This morning I went to the pool. I swam and chatted with a really nice lady. She came from NJ to live here 15 years ago. She likes the weather, but doesnt like the people. She finds it hard to get through their wall of icy cold complacency. Thats what she said. I told her "Just give it time." Chuckle.
After I returned home, I did the laundry, took my dogs for a walk, took a short nap, then decided I was sick of baked chicken and baked fish. So I went to Church's to buy some fried chicken. I didnt check the order at the drive thru, and when I got home, the order was incorrect. TYPICAL!
Checked in on my grandsons my space page (he's in Iraq) and found the he and the guys still dont have their Internet up and running, so I cant communicate with him. But, at least he can call his gal and his Mom, and that takes a load of their minds.
Thank God for myspace. I cant imagine how we (meaning the military and their spouses)got through the Vietnam war without the communications we have today. But, we did!
My, how the world has changed! Ta Ta for now.

You know it will more than likely be you and me Foo.
The other regulars on here are way too cranky.

One more thing. My daughter in law had a hip replacement at Bethesda Naval Hospital, Washington DC yesterday. She is doing well, and expects to go home by Friday. She will be recieving at home therapy as they live about an hour from Bethesda, and its too much to take that drive everyday.
My son has taken two weeks leave. I am thinking of flying up there after he goes back to work.
Thats if they want me up there.

How about one ground rule being that we don't care about the typos - our own or anyone else's! Friends who are chatting in person don't correct each others' pronunciation or grammar.

Well, not since that last person decked me, anyway.

Anybody know what this case is about?

Gosh I hope I'm not starting something, but I'm really curious. Okay, nosy. Found it when I was looking at library cases.

Well folks sorry I ever put the spell check statement on here. Just was tired of some of the posts that didn't make sense. To all of you, a good morning and have a wonderful day. Isn't it more fun to talk about good things?? I really enjoy your comments on everything.

Oh, that wasn't directed at you! There are some posts, yes, that you have to read a couple times to figure out what they meant to say. Lately, though, I think we have all been getting self-conscious about simple typos, and I think we are grown-up enough to see them for what they are and move on. We've been harder on ourselves than anything.
