Cuyahoga Falls isn't that bad. Wait until it gets to Stow. You'll be able to buy shares in the court and it will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
It is not the city itself, it is the court officials. Doesn't matter where the court is located, it is who is in the courthouse.

I for one won't be contributing to this fundraiser. Why? Because I renew my driver's license on time. I renew my vehicle tags before they expire. I don't park where it is prohibited to do so. I stop at red lights and stop signs. I drive within the speed limits. Get the picture? Quit whining about everything, Dyer. If you think the costs are excessive, then obey the laws and you won't have to pay the costs.

They must not live or have ever lived in the falls.

Even the perfect ones get tickets in the falls.

I assume "careful as possible" means you don't drive through Boston Hts, Linndale, Willoughby Hills, not to mention a lot of small Midwest & southern towns, where you can get ticketed from nothing(they'll trump up something) if they don't get you for driving .3 mph over the limit.
Willoughby Hills is the worst.'Specially if your in a suped up car like mine.

I've fallen victim to their ridiculous court costs too... all for an expired plate. I was charged $25.00 for the fine but the court costs were 3x that amount. Something needs to be done about this. The community needs to take a stand.

I know what you're saying, but there is a plan in place to bring new schools to every district in Ohio. It's a 40 year process begun about a decade ago by the Ohio School Facilities Commission. It uses local tax dollars and tobacco settle fund dollars to build new schools. We're getting some new elementaries and already got a new high school here in Barberton. Your district is eventually going to come up for new buildings too, but your voters will have to okay a property tax hike to fund roughly half of it.

Judge Barbuto was taking bribes from whores and pimps and forcing women to perfom sexual acts on him in chambers. Judge Hoover instead is charging LAWFUL court costs and fines, which required approval from the Ohio Supreme Court years ago and is conducted pursuant to the state statutes. My grandfather, Orval Hoover, couldn't have been prouder of his son and there cannot be found men more honorable than the two of them.
You say 'honorable' perhaps our definitions differ. I think of a judge whose job it is to determine guilt of someone, a judge should do so from an unbiased position, with a reasonable fee to match the violation. Kim isn't doing this, How can you remain objective when you have an agenda such as fundraising? His job should have nothing to do with the financing of the court, they should set reasonable rates for such offenses and work with the money they average this is called budgeting. Kim sees every person coming to the court as a new deposit in the bank on what he thinks is his legacy.
If he was the least bit 'honorable' he would have never added rediculous surchages to already high court fees, He would have told the court to do the best that it can on the money it already brings in. I have heard the way he talks to people in the court and it is extremely disrespectful not only to people before him but also to others in the building on other business. In my opinion to be honorable is to be objective, and judicate with the best interest of law being the top priority...not money

I'll give you 2/3 correct on that PA ticket. The "view obstruction" looks better on your driving record than speeding, and the fine was obviously lower. However, being that you are an Ohio-licensed driver and you got the ticket in PA, there are no points involved no matter what. Ohio does not assess points on your Ohio driving record due to tickets from other states.
You are not correct. The state in which you receive the points violation sends that information to the state in which you live and guess what, you get the points for the 3 years. Happened to me when I was in WVA and lived in the Falls. Lucky to get out !

You were not even born when this event took place. So you have your information from biased reading and your household. One hooker one pimp who later recanted their stories. Go figure, said they were paid to say what they did. How dare you compare your father and grandfather to real honorable men. They could not compare one bit to any of our service men and women. Your grandfather lost any and all respect and honor when he took his life. That is not honor. You need to go back to your needlepointing and stay away from politics. That's right, you had a hard working and knowledgeable person fired from their job so you could have one, and mommie to hold your hand and do favors to keep your job. Good job Corinne.

Chief Moyer's main gripe about Mayor's Courts is that he sees it as a conflict of interest on the part of the Mayor.
How is this conflict different than a judge who charges monsterous court costs for his new building?

Do you really think you'll get a fair and impartial trial when the building's future is based on your guilt and, subsequently, your money?

Didn't this story just run elsewhere in the past six months? Again, Dyer runs old news--and will do so for his next six columns. Same old crap...

what is the differecne between George Bush and the judges in the Falls?
Idiots don't tend to bring the judges in the Falls up into absolutely every discussion, no matter how unrelated.

They *do* bring up Bush all the time, every time, no matter what the topic of conversation.

That's the difference.
