though, torres was quite better than the herbalist drogba in which all striker signed with him is always performless.look at shevchenko,2nd world best, came 2 meet drogba at cfc,he managed to score 7 goals atlast sold etc. I think Drogba is the one to be sold not torres or other players.let cfc loan drogba first,if torres and others wont perform. May God help cfc.blues...........BY NUEL.

Clearly the author of this article is an idiot. For Torres to be useful he'd have to get some consistent play time and I don't mean the last 7 minutes of a match. Since Drogba's been gone Torres has made a significant impact on the team. He'll score goals once he'a regular on the pitch.

For sure only bit of sense i've read in this topic.

Lets put it like this!!

Drogba= last year on contract at chelsea, need to sell him now before he just leaves for free

Drogba=age 33 or 34 as a striker you could almost say past the best playing years of your life, especially in the premier league.

Drogba=lost without his old partner nicolas anelka, who had the sense to move when a final big payday is here! drogba is just prolonging the inevitable.

Torres=50MILLION hardly going to be sold just after a year even when he was bought he was not producing! there is just somthing up with his game but he has played so well and seems to a good team player

Torres= most consistent striker at liverpool since robbie fowler/micheal owen except with a bit more class

torres= still in his prime as a striker 27 so why sell him for 30mill when you can get 10mill for drogba whos done!?

Torres= Most expensive british transfer ever, if hes sold it will just make chelsea look like a laughin stalk, especially if he moves on and starts scoring for fun!!

mistake was not sticking with anceloti even would have scolari another year or 2 but then would chelsea have torres?
like there is alot of factors to be looked on.
One things for sure DROGBA WILL BE OUT OF CHELSEA BEFORE TORRES. as will AVB before roman!?

Same here i would like him to return to liverpool, but i seriously doubt it!.. after last nites result and fernando played pritty well when he came on created a few chances and so much space for mata/drogba/ramerez who all had half decent chances because of torres.

i'm 100% next year at chelsea it will be torres and sturridge up front playing together and not out on the right flank.

Kudos to chelsea lastnite great result for them and the EPM.

He shouldn't have left Liverpool. He played well there, and he made a mistake by moving to London. He might ruin his career as Shevchenko did.

Look mate i disagree with you totally.
Look at the facts.

Torres was only 26 when he moved to chelsea as shevchenko was already at the end of his career.
Torres never missed a sitter + penalty against liverpool in a champions league final! that was the pivatal point in sheva's career.
torres is world class still! all he has missing from his game is goals but he is playing more as a wide man at the moment because lets face it drogba doesnt have the legs so hes got to play up front.
it makes alot of sense. chelsea will be a completly different animal when drogba leaves. the will challenge on all fronts next year.

If it was a bad day or even a bad month that would be one thing but he's had a bad year and then some for club and country and at times looked completely lost and psyched out.

It's hard to pay Torres all that money and rely on him to score consistently and hope he breaks free of his mental chains. I do not envy Abramovich and the decision he will have to make.
