Is he freaking serious? the last thing Africa needs is some god-forsaken bible. That is one reason Africa is messed up today. Doesn't he know that Slavery was build on the back of the so=called bible and quran for that matter. Africans need to learn about and practice their traditional spiritual systems like the Medu Neter, Yuroba, Voodoom, Dogoon and the like. Tell the white christians like this fool, and the almost mixed up arabs to go to you know where and take their institutionalized religions with them, I am talking about their white jesus and their arab muhmmad. We got our own Black spiritual leaders thank you very much we don't need neither one of them. Amun!!!

You talk about satan.
Where did U contact Satan ?
As I know satan will not meet anybody except his friends.(can be Xian,Mos,Hind, Bud or etc)
How can I know ?
I have quarreled with Satan. Because He rejected my propose to provide some College Dictate about Satanism. And Rejected to be interviewed by me.He said He was busy to make many websites to misguide the human kind.

I fully respect the person who came with this comment. He absolutely deserves to be listened to and glorified. The African continent was ruined by looting, slavery and reduced to below zero by those intruders who their religions and other means.

Tell me, do you that those brought these religions would care or mind if you as African is being penalized? Never, they just brought to us their institutionalized religions for their own interests. Tell me, who dose not care of you today, will he do so tomorrow??????

Please, letís think again.

As a Serere Animist, I agree with everything this guy said. I think it is good that some Africans are wising up and now trying to honour the true religion of their forefathers.

thank you Tam, I am actually a she. That being said. I am sick and tired of crazy African muslims and christians. The make me ill. They hate themselves and their traditonal spirituality so much and have the audacity to think that their ancient beautiful spirtualty is decadent to say the least. they are so self-hating they think white arab muhammad and a white whatever, jesus, has to save them for them to be saved.

They think they were born in sin, instead a child of the universe. Africa, wake up. Our ancestors lead the way to our peace and survival as a people through ancestor worship and blending into the universal order, e.g. the medu netr, voodum, yes i said it voodum, santaria, Yuroba, Dogon. Please stop hating yourselves. You are destroying your own world with you white people's religions.

Hi pdiane, sorry for referring to you in the masculine form. I agree with many things you've said here. Although I love all my African Muslim & Christian brothers and sisters, as I have said to Omar Ngack in another thread on Senegal Topix, I wouldn't mind if Senegambians muslims wanted to follow their religion, but I don't want islam dominating our air waves. In both Senegal and Gambia, islam dominate our television and radio services. On sundays, its normally christianity. There are no programmes for the Animists. Also, when I was at Primary school, in religious studies, a pupil has to go to the islamic class or the christianity class. There was no class for the Animists. At least 12 people in my year group were Animist and they were shoved in to the muslim group by force. It was not until my father came in and asked the Head Teacher to get me out of that class immediately when I finally left that class. The same was true when I was in High School. There is no respect for the Animists by the muslim majority. The only muslim I have heard spoke some sense on a Senegambian forum is Omar. Few weeks ago, my people the Serere Animists held the Xoy Ceremony which is a very important and ancient ceremony is our religion. The mass media didn't even cover it. In Senegambian website forums, especially on Seneweb.com , the muslims were cursing my people as well as our High Priests [the Saltigues], calling them all vulgar names. Can you believe it, the vulgarity and insults coming from the muslims on that forum was astounding - merely because we refused to abandon our ancient religion in favour of imported religions. Even the great historian Issa Laye Thiaw - a Serere Animist like me and son of a high priest has spoken out against Senegambian and African hypocrisy in this matter. We Animists would never go around insulting our muslim or christian brothers in their religious events, but they especially the muslims couldn't help themselves from insulting the Animists Sereres on that Holy day. Pathetic! What is even pathetic is that, most Senegambian muslims and Christians say they are muslims or Christians, but when they canít find answers to the question they seek, they revert back to the true religion of their forefathers {African Animism] to get answers. I canít understand this hypocrisy. Thatís why Issa Laye Thiaw spoke about against this and challenged these people for their hypocrisy.

It is extremely important that every human being fully enjoys all fundamental rights granted for him by the nature including all the necessities for him as a mankind to live in respect and dignity.

In addition to the subject of ďthe AnimistsĒ we should look at them as human beings and citizens of their respective countries. We should not let our world divided behind the lines of color, race, sex, religious, class and so forth. Our region, the Senegambia like anywhere in the world, lack of religious tolerance and mutual respect pose serious problems to some religious and ethnic minorities and this problem must be addressed at the highest level. I am a Gambian Muslim but my conviction is unshakable that all religions: Animism, Judaism, Hindus, Buddhism Christianity, Islam and any other religion should are the same and must be respect and dealt with on equal footing if we expect peace, harmony and mutual respect prevail in this world.

I totally agree. The self hate of Africans and their traditions is inexcusable! They are so brainwashed it makes me sick to my stomach to say the least. I cannot change the world because most men will not initially listen to a woman, particurlarly from amerikkka telling them to love themselves and their traditions, but brother I am a new African. I will not allow any body to try to convince me that any religion is better than the beautiful traditions spiritual systems of Yuroba, the Metr Ntr and the like. Spiritual systems that orginated in Africa in other words. They can forget about converting me to some white man's made up religion. It ain't happening, end of conversation. Fight brother the best you can to celebrate your beliefs on the airwaves in Gambia. I will pray to the ancestors for you. Hotep, Peace.

Sister, you deserve to be listened to. I don't know much about our (African) ancestors' religions but I believe if the Africans are to develop or even survive, we must convert back to our ancestors' religions because:

Oh don't worry Pdiane, I and many Serere Animists like myself are fighting hard to get our noble Animist faith on the airwaves. I for one has written several letters to these media organisations demanding to know why they failed to give coverage to the Serere Animist Xoy Ceremony? Had it been a muslim or christian ceremony they would have covered it. I have also written to the ministers of culture and media. On a good note, a Senegalese Serere Animist cousin of mine and I are building an online Radio Station devoted to our Animist people. It is called Serer Sine
http://serere.sine.name/...
The radio station would broadcast 24/7 and it would also contain our ancient history; culture; the names of our ancient kings; our civilisation; our Animist festivals and their meaning; our ancient legends etc. We have done most of the work and we will be launching this year. My cousin is of course experienced in the radio industry and has created another succesful radio station few years ago called Radio Goree. Another Serere cousin of mine in Senegal is the brainstorm of Radio Ndef Leng in Senegal which is in Serere. I am also involved in that to get it online for the Sereres living in the diaspora. The schedule launch date for that is in 3 months time. Since the muslim masses of Senegambia's media don't want to cover our Animist religion and history inspite of the fact that we Animist Sereres contribute a great percentage of GDP etc, we will do it ourselves. Our next step would be to launch a TV network which is in the pipeline but we want to get the radio stations on the way first. We are very proud of our ancient Animist Serere roots, culture and religion and we would sacrifice it for no one. Thank you very much for your prayers, may the Gods, Goddesses and ancient Pangool reward you.

Exactly! But most Senegambian muslims don't see it this way. By the way, you are not the only Senegambian who doesn't know the religion of their ancestors. Virtually all Senegambian muslims do not know about theirs. They forgotten it. Some may know the general stuff but they do not know the specifics - for example the names of the ancient Gods, Goddesses, the ancient ceremonies and their meaning etc. This is why the preservation of the Serere Animist and Jola Animist religions are important. After all they are two of few surviving Animist religions in our region.

Regards,
Omar, I take it you are addressing Pdiane? Well there are only three of us contributing to this thread. No offense but I am sure you can contribute any relevant information you have right here, unless you don't want me to see read what you have to say. Unless it is about something else that's another issue, but if it is about religion I am sure I can handle whatever you've got to say. Unless of course you want to convert Pdiane to islam.

To me, religion matters most in our African life, that is why I feel interested to discuss about it but with somebody I know his point of view at least.

Furthermore, I am advocating for any religion, at least not for the imported ones. If I would advocate for any religion, that would be for our own tradition religions.

By the way, your may read what I wrote not so long ago that "crawling on your own knees is better than running on others' feet".

Pdiane, you are more than right, if your ideas could translated into practice, Africans will soon see themselves different. But how? a while ago, I asked a person close to me "If we Africans cannot live without religion, why can't we wait till we have our own prophet?" but this question cost a lot!!!!!

Unfortunately, brothers and sisters, Africans who prescribe to christianity and islam with a vengence are "stuck on stupid". How can one be so self-hating not to love their own Prophets, Sheros and Heros and their own spiritual ways. Why?! because a white and arab man told you that you were savages, heathens and you believed them? Have you lost your minds? Please!!!!

Great Afrakans like Akneten, Ramises, Hetshepsut, Queen Nzinga, Chiekh Anta Diop, your ancestors have paved the way for you. The Medu Netr is your language, your teachings. It is written all over the temples in Egypt. No, they are not european or arab writings, they are Afrakan writings coming from and African Culture and prespective.

The Mdu Ntr is the original spiritual writings, the most profound writings. Read it, study it, love it, teach your children it, speak it. It is yours, to learn. Stop hating yourselves and your culture. The greeks renamed as the hyroglphics but it is not that, is the Medu Ntr, Mdu Ntr, Metu Netcher, however you pronouncicate it. It is yours! They renamed Kemet as Egypt, but it is was a Black nation that gave this world, math, science, language, astrology, engineering. The pyramids were built by Black people. They don't want you to celebrate your genius.

They want you to pray to white jesus and white muhammad while they steal your orignal spiritual culture and artifacts.

Stop the self-hate Africans! Denounce your white arab men religions and accept your own and be yourself!

Peace and love always. Long live Africa!
