So tragic...and the questions remain. I live in San Simeon. There is no way down to the beach where they were found. I cannot understand how they ended up in the water from that pullout. We are uneasy, this is unexplained. No one would choose that spot to access the beach. What happened?

Gillian & Marcia were wonderful people who were loved and will be missed. Marcia was a good mom whose life was to love and protect her girls. We love and are here for Gillians sisters.

I am so sad about their passing, Marcia was a marvelous mother.. I am so sorry about her two other daughters she loved them as much. I hope she was not suffering for what the father of her little one has done to her.

"Marcia was the best friend and mother i have ever known...."
Get a clue people. She killed, or allowed the death, of her daughter. That doesnt qualify for "Best mother".

How do you know that. Maybe the father killed them or hired a hit-man. Until the autopsy report comes out, we have no idea if it was murder or suicide.

I don't like the speculation since the local news media reported the custody issue. It is a nasty thing, idle, gossipy speculation. Thinking the worst before the facts are in.

OMG - of course the father didn;'t do anything to them. She drove herself and her baby up the coast and then she killed herself and the child she claimed to love. Looka t her background. She's crazy - has always done whatever she could to keep her children away from everyone. Her own parents sued her so they could see their grandchildren.

This mother did everything she could to keep her other daughters away from their own grandparents (her own parents). They sued to see the girls. She then did everything she could to make sure this little girl did not have time with her father - a good man - and a good father. When she lost - she killed her baby.
A good mother? No, not even close.

I hope she was not suffering for what the father of her little one has done to her. "a marvelous mother" is that why a mother whose daughter attended school with Gillian said that it was obvious that she was a child in need of attention and love. This is was apparent she wasn't getting it at home, and she has only ever lived with her mom, never with her dad. I do know a bit of the history on this situation and it isn't the father who they need to look at but more the mother's mental state. A unbalance state that would drive her to this. 14 professionals evaluated Gillian in this court battle and all agreed that Marcia's accusations were false. They state that Gillian never was in fear of her father and never said the things that Marcia said. Marcia had already lost 1 portion of income when her oldest turned 18 one more is turning 18 soon and now if she lost Gillian how would she support herself, she never held a job.HMMMM
