Here's my 2cents on Oakley's Customer Service! I pirchased a pair of Pit Bosses 2 weeks ago. Decided they were a bit pricey for what they were. Anyways, went back to the Oakley Store and one of the employees told me, that I had to come back in 2 days because I paid $600 cash, and they simply didnt have that in their cash drawer! I just got off the phone with Oakley Corp, and was told by an Oakley csr that was wrong and bad customer service to turn me away! I have 2 weeks left to try and find another store to return these Pit Bosses! If not? Im stuck sitting on a pair of $600 Oakleys!

ok, so the correct part is a "t-shock"...they sent them to me, and they sent me t-shocks for the juliet model instead of the x-squared. unbelievable. now i call them, and they say they will send out t-shocks for the x-squared.
so just to recap,,first they send me my sunglasses missing a tshock..then send me the wrong tshock.
inept MFers working there. i just hope i get the correct t-shocks this time.
just hope you don't have to send in your oakleys for warranty reasons. they more than likely will F it up.

LOL who expects to spend $120 on a pair of glasses, or buy some version form ebay etc. that's probably been discontinued for years and then expect a company to replace and service it for the rest of your life? Try taking a car back to a dealership after a year...crashing it....cracking the glass and seeing if they will warranty it. Wake the hell up people. Life time warranties? do you have it in writing or is this some "word of mouth" bull shit. "my friend told me..." ya well your friend is probably full of shit. "the sales person said..." ya, you trusted the guy selling you something on craig's list?

Hi, this seems to bee a recurring theme. People buy their stuff with life time warranty and then change the warrant.
I bought a pair of sunglasses 15 years ago with life time warranty. I was really happy for 10 years. They changed the frame twice when it broke and the glasses once.
Now they say the warranty is not valid since they have changed their warranty to only 2 years (in my country). This is bull shit, the life time warranty come with the product they sold me, and as long as they are still in business, that is valid, no matter what warranty current models are sold with.
As long as you can prove your product was sold with a life time warranty you should pursue them, as they are in breach of contract..

I have owned Oakley shades since the day of the original blades and up until last year, have been extremely pleased. I purchased a pair of Scalpel with positive red lens and washed them in Oakley cleaning solution and it left water spots and scratches on the lens. I returned them to the store after much heated discussion and got another pair except with the gray lens. I never had another issue with them until I dropped them and scratched the lens while moving. My fault and I decided to get another pair to replace them with. I got another pair with the positive red lens and have only had them a week now. Went on vacation and got a few smudges from fingers or sunscreen, so I used the supplied Oakley bag to clean them with after turning it inside out to be safe from any foreign debris to wipe them. Well to my surprise, but five or six hairline scratches appeared on the lens afterwards. This positive red iridium obviously sux and is very fragile indeed. O am not impresses to say the least and this will be my last pair of Oakley glasses. I expect more for $140.00 than one week of wear. I got so pissed off that I just crushed them into pieces and threw them in the garbage like they are!

My son purchased a pair of Oakley sunglasses from an Oakley store in December 2010. By June 2011, one arm fell off and could not be found. Contacted Oakley, sent them the requested pictures of the glasses and the receipt. Received a reply within 30 minutes and were told they were under warranty and we were sent a UPS shipping label. Once they were received, it took Oakley a week to contact us and then tell us the sunglasses would not be covered under the warranty. They told us the glasses were a "special edition" and they did not have replacement pieces. Originally offered us a 25% discount and then upped it to a 50% discount because the glasses were new and we still had the original receipt. Very disappointed in Oakley. When you spend $120 for a pair of glasses that don't have a screw in the arm, you would think the company would carry additional replacement arms. Not interested in purchasing from Oakley again...they have a crappy warranty.

Oakley has become too big for its britches. Ordered pair of shades and protective case and tracked delivery. Box arrived but the most important sunglasses were missing. Oh hey stupid you should have known that sun glasses in high demand are going to take a while to arrive. No mention on anything that I read that they would be delayed at least two months. When I called to ask about the almost empty box the nice girl on the phone basically laughed in my face. Frigging rip off artist who couldn’t give a poop about the deal as they are killing it around the world. In their book what’s one unhappy customer? Frigging sad!

I seem to recall when I bought my glasses 4-5 yrs ago they had a lifetime warranty, but now their website says one year only. My third pair of Half Wire's broke the other day just as the previous two had. The spring mechanism in the ear piece failed and made them seperate. I've emailed them about it, but I seriously doubt I will get a reply. I spent $150 for these glasses and you would expect they would last....I take care of my glasses so there should be no reason they break. The second pair I got (1st replacement pair) broke after 6 months, yet these lasted just about 2 years until they failed. I've bought glasses at the local grocery store before for $10 that have lasted and put up with massive abuse, so why can't Oakley's.....they've turned in to a joke

I first bought my first pair of oakleys about ten years ago I dont even know which model they are as I still do have them. I liked them so much that three years later I bought an other two pairs of diferent colors which unfortunatley got lost. Now after ten years the lens start to peel and because they are so old they dont make them anymore and I cant find replacement lenses so I bought a new pair of Oil Drums. The new Oakleys are crap!!!! And to make them even worse I bought them a pair of Visionary Lenses, shit I cant even see properly through them!!!! What a pile of shit!!! I wish I had bought more of the old ones.

I can't really complain about their sunglasses I own 4 pairs of frog skins that are tough as crap but their snowboarding goggles are terrible... I have the Gretchen bleiler pro model and the lenses scratch so easily. I've gone through 3 lenses in 2 seasons and the strap actually snapped and came apart where the strap connects to the goggle!! At least it was at the end of the season but I'm going back to Anon goggles this coming season!!

Perfect example of a company getting way to big. They have a great product and first. Develop a solid customer base and people who got great products expect the same only to be disapointed. The toughest point for me was hearing the person on the customer service line basically telling me to get bent. We are getting enough business without your sorry butt. Sad. Oakley is a great example of how our country is going down the tubes!

Tabatha Lucas wrote: Recently I purchased a pair of Oakley Darts. The reason I went back to Oakley is the fact that I loved the pair I had before...(about 4 years old..but finally the lens started popping out. But given the years..I felt I got my money's worth). However when I purchased my Darts...I noticed they never sat straight. So I took them to have them adjusted at the Oakley store. They told me they were off a little and they fixed it. I took them and noticed they sat straight but the nose pieces were crooked. So I took them back and the manager told me that the nose pieces were "welded" on crooked..and the frame will need to be replaced. So he instructed me to call Oakley and send it to them (since it was past the 30 day store warranty to replace). So I paid to have them shipped FedEx...and then got them back about 2 weeks later. They stated "nothing is wrong". When I explained that their store representative told me that they were crooked...they said he didn't have the knowledge to say that...that he doesn't have the correct equipment to make that assessment. So I asked for a solution...and they told me to send to back again..and they will test them again (but I would have to pay for the shipping..again and will most likely come up with the same conclusion). WTF? Well to say the least..I am stuck with a pair of crooked Oakley's..and will never buy another. Not only that...I have reported to the BBB..and since all of my family tends to wear Oakley's...they won't anymore. the guys at oakley dont have the materials or knowlege of the processing of the pair after u had the person alter the glasses they made the glasses crooked to fit your face and they did good. when you brought them back all managers give u shit storys to make u feel better. No ones face is straight so its either your nose is slightly off and it shows in the glasses or your glasses nose peices are going to be crooked and fit nicely on your face there is no other way around it.
