Well sometimes sarcasm is intended to be humorous.
In no way was I trying to offend you, but I'm sorry if you took it the wrong way just as I took your jokes with Montana the wrong way as well. Now I'm not referring to you, but the author of the information you get is not very smart. I guess I'll see you in the penitentiary as well! Those writers and critics you refer to are not well-reasoned at all. They only see what they call 'unfair' but they don't look on Michelle's point of view- that's the thing about critics. It seems as if they think they know everything and then they go on som kind of anti-this and anti-that. Again I'm in no way trying to offend you. Ok. I'll admit I missed the point of the jokes, but those writers and critics shouldn't think they're so smart because I see that they're far from it! In any case, I appreciate you for expressing you feelings.
But yes I also stand guilty as charged for accussing you. I guess we'll just have to battle it out fairly.(sarcasm in case you didn't get it)

Hmmm... well let's see. Sasha was predicted to win the Olympics- if not Irina- and both of them didn't win. Of course I mean the gold. Sarah Hughes owed her spot to Michelle for getting to go to the 2004 Worlds, so Emily owed her spot to Michelle. Why do you say that Kwan always cries? I think you mean Sasha whenever she falls program after program after program. Yes, Michelle does cry but she cries because of pure happiness. Oh and yes it was my fault for accusing you of saying Sasha had a kingdom even though you didn't.
Michelle was a lock to win Gold..twice..didn't..her tears of joy are just a part of the phony she is..so sports is an iou game, eh...interesting...so much for it's a sport and it's beautiful..no, it's an activity where if I place I am entitled to a free spin..it's owed to me...well, guess I've been wrong all these years..I don't quite understand what you mean when you say Oh and yes it was my fault for accusing you of saying Sasha had a kingdom even though you didn't. I didn't take any particular offense..just wanted to clear up any confusion as to what I said or implied..

Fair enough, Poseidon. It's not simply about being "smart," though, as otherwise highly intelligent people often delude themselves into making arguments and taking positions that can be seen to be objectively and demonstrably preposterous once the raw emotion has dissipated. It has happened with Iraq, and it has happened here in this forum. For this reason, I cannot agree with you that the various writers and critics who have been cited here are making arguments that are "not well-reasoned at all" since they "only see what they call 'unfair' but they don't look on Michelle's point of view." In my view, looking at the Torino debacle from Kwan's point of view is a weakness, not a strength, of logical reasoning because it is little more than an emotional, self-serving appeal to pathos and sympathy for a once-great (non-Olympic) champion.

Well let me just tell you I support us going to Iraq- but please don't turn this into a political argument because I think we should just stick to this topic. You use very big words that confuses a teenager like me- at times like at your last comment but eventually I'll get to understand it- but using big words makes you smarter and I'll praise you for extending your mind even if you already know these words. Sorry for calling you names on previous forum but I was just mad that you and Montana kept saying that I "miss the point in everything."

Guys, do any of you have a life. You shouldn't be spending time on a forum writing a long, long scripture of what you think of Kwan's life. Live you life, not Kwan's. No offense, none taken?

Michelle Kwan is a better skater that Tara Lipinski. Michelle Kwan is a better skater than Sarah Hughes. In Nagano, Tara was pushed ahead by the judges just because they wanted to see the youngest woman ever to win a Ladies Singles Olympic Figure Skating Gold medal.(Look at all the publicity the Olympics got.)
Tara was cocky and unsportsman like in the way that she reacted to her "victory."

Sasha Cohen is a two time Olympic loser! Irina Slutskaya is a THREE time Olympic loser! Meanwile although Michelle Kwan has not won a gold medal at The Olympic games she has won more National Championships than Slutskaya or Cohen. She has won more WORLD championships than Kwan or Cohen. Michelle Kwan is a Winner!!!!!

What unites we American Sports fans is that WE WANT TO WIN! Michelle Kwan has given us FIVE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS!! When she didn't win a gold medal in Nagano, Japan or Salt Lake City, USA another American skater won the gold medal. We won PLUS we got another medal.
When Sasha Cohen competed in Torino, she had 300,000,000 hopes riding on her and she choked!! Tara Lipinski: Winner! Sarah Hughes: Winner! Michelle Kwan: Winner! Sasha Cohen: Loser! Sasha Cohen couldn't keep the American Ladies on top of the Olympic podium!

Michelle skated in Worlds last year and placed 4th, higher than any other US woman. In order for the USA to send 3 skaters to the Olympics a country must accumulate points. By Michelle placing 4th she ensured that the USA could send 3 skaters. So if it were not for Michelle there would not be any Emily Hughes at this years Olympics. Also, keep in mind that after the 1998 and 2002 Olympics both Gold Medal winners opted since they were out of Worlds since they were "TIRED" where Michelle went on to win. Once again, if it had been for her, our Olympic representation would have been different 2 versus 3. So while you are complaining remember that in 2004 Sara Hughes owes her spot to Michelle just as Emily owes hers to Michelle.
I agree 100%!!!!

Ladies and gentlemen, Montana's lack of a response proves that she is at a lost for words. I have successfully out-debated her. The side of Michelle Kwan is victorious!!!!

You that bash her obviously aren't grown up enough to know that it costs money to do things like this. her family is not wealthy, and it takes money to train and travel. I am sure she took the deal so that she could pay her family back for the stress of the past years, and to pay her way for all that she wants to accomplish in the future.
