Halliburton or a subsidiary of Halliburton has worked for the government under every administration since Truman. Brown and Root (later KBR) was tied closely to the Johnson administration (democrat). B&R was building the airstrips in Vietman and the largest stockholder in B&R was non other Lady Byrd Johnson (http://www.powells.com/review/2004_06_25 ). Quit using Halliburton as an example for your dislike of Bush/Cheney because they were doing this a long time before Bush. Without a doubt, they would have had the contract no matter who was the president at the time.
