She's just tagging along in New Orleans so she and Pelosi can discuss the most elegant way for Richardson to crawl back into her hole. Pelosi needs a way to save face. On the other hand, the unions need a strong candidate and there doesn't seem to be anyone else around.

Look, she's up to her old tricks again. 1) Misleading press release headline "Cong. Richardson Helps Secure over $7 Million in Crucial Federal Funding for the 37th" Way down at the bottom it says: "While these Appropriations Bills have not yet passed the House, the inclusion of these projects in the bills is the critical first step"

http://www.house.gov/apps/list/press/ca37_ric...

And we learned recently that she attended ucsb. How come the house web site doesn't say anything about this?

And has anyone checked to see if she owns any other properties, residential or otherwise, in california, or otherwise? In her name, an LLC, or otherwise?

Really people, Richardson has proven herself unethical, and unable to conduct her fiduciary duties to the public. Couldn't Mathews get on the ballot as an Independent, just like Joe Leiberman did? If not, lets write in his name. I say anyone but Richardson. The fact that the Democrats in Congress are standing beside her, holding fund raisers, and not pursuing ethics violations, just shows me how corrupt our system has become. It is time for a change. Vote for any name except Richardson.

Change is definitely the word! Congress has the LOWEST approval ratings since polls were started! Sacramento is not far behind, yet the lemmings (voters) will re elect the same incumbents who got us into the mess in the first place!

The best solution to congress and our legislature is to VOTE out ALL incumbents no matter what party! We need NEW faces and different ideas in elected officials! The tired old same ones LIKE Jenny Oropeza etc are NOT getting the job done!

We need change and replacements in November! And only LEGAL registered voters can do this!

How bout we STOP being good liberal democrats and conservative republicans and START being good responsible AMERICANS!

Vote out ALL INCUMBENTS!

I am for voting for someone else than Richardson. This is why I haven't voted for her in the last two elections. My votes went to JENNY OROPEZA. And my vote will go to JENNY OROPEZA again in Nov.
She is the best choice.

This whole situation is laughable if not as sad as it is.

1. With Richardson and the Democrats, we have old-style Soviet Power Politics at its worst, the people don't matter, and the blessing of the Party Structure is all that is needed, its all that counts.

2. And Matthews is not serious. He has ran against Dana Rohrabacher several times in the past, never really doing more than putting his name on the ballot, never really seriously putting on a challenge.

It is because Matthews has no drive, no issues, no passion, a Matthews win would simply result in a pawn-for-pawn substitution with an official operating Politicheskoye Buro ordination running to Matthews rather than Richardson.

CONCLUSION: THE BEST CASE FOR DEMOCRACY WHEN TWO SOCIALIST/COMMUNIST/TRADE UNIONIST POLITBURO MEMBERS CLASH IS THAT THE MOST VULNERABLE SHOULD WIN. Continued Vulnerability increases the chances that a non-politburo member will win next time.

You are obviously a PT reader. So misinformed that you don't even know who is on the ballot in November. Stop believing the negative hyperbole about Richardson. So she has a few personal financial problems because of divorce and unexpected campaign cost. They will pass. She also has an unmatched work ethic and is much more effective than most of our local electeds in representing our interest, including Jenny O. In the end, I'd rather have a proven fighter in congress than a tempermental cry baby.

Mathews should called out for profiting as a perinnial candidate. Does he still have that obnoxious air polluting bus? He's been hustling money from from his Hindu and South East Asian fundraising network for years, much of it outside the parameters of campaign finance ethics (cash!). Nobody in their right mind would support Peter Mathews and his wacky snake oil politics.

Thanks for the clarification ouch. They might want to put that on the house.gov bio in the meantime.

When will she be resigning?
