Imagine being taxed a dollar for driving to the store. Commute to work? That'll be a few bucks each way.

...California State Government is totally off their rocker! Like a bunch of mobsters putting the squeeze on citizens. I suggest getting rid of the crooks in government as a best way to make savings to the tax payers. Otherwise they are just going to keep at taking the peoples hard earned money any way they can like a cokehead. On a good note, the ability to seriously take a long look at persons behind all these mafia economic ideas will aid in weeding them out of government in the future.

You people should pay per mile to drive. You drive too much as it is.

How do you think they will pay for that new Bullet train no one will ride?

They already have this figured out.

This law is a blessing to us here in California and a good Idea for raising revenue. I hope that when the President is reelected it becomes national law

@ Zero...

All they're going to do with the "extra raised revenue" is find some other stupid way to waste and continue to cry that they're broke and need money. As for your second statement...God help us all if that bum is reelected!!!

It's a Wonderful Idea. The Rich will be able to make far better time on the roads with taxes and fees added to ensure that filthy poor people won't be clogging up the roads.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Leo

This is a great day for fixing things that have gone wrong. If there have been ructions in your relationship with a certain person this is when you can sort things out and get them back on track. If an appliance or gadget is going on the blink, this is your cue to either get it mended or chuck it out and replace it. You may also find time to tidy up your immediate surroundings or take all those bottles and papers to your nearest recycling center. How virtuous you'll feel when it's all done!
