Even R-71 fails the legislature can bring the same law back. Either way Reject R-71 is at a lose-lose situation.

It's obvious what I think about Referendum 71 :)

My wife and I are one of the approximately 6000 couples that will be effected by the outcome of this election.

Why can't people just give us the approx. R-71 is taking 3 yeas to approve or disapprove. Why is this process taking so long. We deserve the rights & to be left alone. Once the law is passed in the LBGT commuity & not change it later on.

Eminent theologian Reinhold Niebuhr, when signing a statement of guilt over the dropping of the atom bomb ('The Decision to use the Atomic Bomb and the Architecture of an American Myth' by Gar Alperovitz) referred to the "moral ambiguity of all righteous people in hsitory". So when leading Christian thought during a most momentous historical decision was not only uncertain, but wrong, how can there be moral extremism in regards to homosexuality? Particularly when the Book of Acts refers to how we as Christians sold our homes and possessions and shared everything in common, etc. You would think leading Christians would make fighting homelessness a moral priority instead. Must be capitalist idolatry in the way....

As is your right to do so. Sad that your unthinking bigotry blinds you to the fact that there are families with children who you just put in danger of being that much less legally secure. Nicely done.

"The biggest compensation gainer among top executives was Franklin Graham of the Billy Graham Evangelsitic Association, whose compensation rose 534% to $633,722, much of the gain because of a $366,000 retirement payment. Graham, 57, son of Billy Graham, also earns $483,000 as CEO of charity Samaritans' Purse." ('Non-Profit Execs make Millions'; USA Today; 9/28/09)

Samaritan's Purse knows firsthand of people starving to death in East Africa. How could such an extravagant salary ever be justified by Graham? "Non-profit" = no taxes, either.
