At only $750,000,000 maybe we should send two or three? After all, the govt has lot's of money, they just print it when they need more.

For a guy with the handle "reality," you seem to lack a sense of perspective.$750 million (for a fourteen year mission) is less than one tenth what this nation spends on video games in a single year. What's going to be more important to this nation in the long term: understanding how the sun (which will ultimately have to be our source of energy) works, or helping our teenagers develop their thumbs?
