I really despise anyone who can't grasp the fact that there is a God.

Physics was the reason for the Big Bang, not God, according to scientist Stephen Hawking.

Judged: 2 1 1 If nature is governed by laws, argue the authors, then three questions arise: 1) What is the nature of those laws? 2) Are there exceptions to the laws (for example, miracles)? 3) Is there only one set of possible laws? "The Grand Design" sets out to answer these questions, demonstrating how we are dependent on models of reality that, with investigation, can sometimes change. And their arguments do indeed bring us closer to seeing our world, universe and multiverse in terms that a previous generation might easily have dismissed as supernatural. This succinct, easily digested book could perhaps do with fewer dry, academic groaners, but Hawking and Mlodinow pack in a wealth of ideas and leave us with a clearer understanding of modern physics in all its invigorating complexity. "Because there is a law such as gravity, the universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the universe exists, why we exist," Hawking writes." "It is not necessary to invoke God to light the blue touch paper and set the universe going." --------- I'm sure this will be quite unpalatable to the believers. |

Judged: 5 2 2 I really despise anyone who can't grasp that there is no PROOF of the existence of any god and therefore it is NOT a fact that there is, but only a belief that there is, with that belief of what god exists differing by various religions. But actually, I don't really despise folks like you, but I do feel very sorry for you. It's quite pathetic to not only not know the difference between a fact/truth and an opinion/belief but much more pathetic that you don't even know the definition of a fact/truth and an opinion/belief. BTW, I happen to believe in a god, but as a deist, it is not the god of the bible or any other book of faith, nor is it the god imagined by any specific or organized religion. However, unlike you, I DO know the difference between a fact/truth and an opinion/belief and unlike you, I am not capable of being arrogant and presenting that which is clearly a belief as it it is a proven fact- nor am I ignorant as you obviously are since you attempt to state that which cannot be proven to be fact as if it is. If stupidity, arrogance, ignorance, blasphemy, idiocy, and deluded thinking is what sends a person to your nonexistent place of hell, no doubt there is a front row seat with your name engraved upon it just waiting for you. Then again, your posts prove you are already in hell- even if it is simply a hell of your own making. What a miserable cur you are. |

Judged: 5 4 4 Hawking doesn't bother me in the least because I see him for what he is - a naked man in a wheelchair with toadies who worship his alleged brain. However, if Hawking was half as smart as he and his toadies claim him to be, they he and they would be focused on finding a cure for his crippling disease, instead of speculating about the vast universe with untested and unproven theories of no consequence. Hawking is just a useless blowhard in a wheelchair, who spews useless and unprovable theories to please his toadies. Even worse, some idiots bow to the cripple as if he was their pope. That's what is really pathetic. |

Judged: 3 2 1 What a unique mind you have. I think you should contact Professor Hawking immediately and point out the error of his ways. Let him know how you feel that he, a physicist, should be figuring out a cure for motor neuron disease. I'm sure you'll get positive feedback. |
