Burns in that area can only be done when there is a north wind, otherwise the smoke sometimes blows into Chico.
so everyone else in the county has to breath the smoke, and those in chico who feel they are superior to most have nothing to fear, but all the rest of the county have to breath the pesticides in the smoke? nuff said

I agree that pesticide residue in and on and throughout the burning of rice stubble, wheat fields, as well as almond brush are part of the health hazard that is causing so many lung problems in the north state. These chemicals when burned change into even more complex toxic cancer causing chemicals, that are almost impossible to monitor. People may as well be burning there garbage in there fire places, not that they don't.

Get real! We all know farmers are special and have special needs, and special interest, especially this special time of year.
Maybe you need to sober up before you post again?

Try smoking some medical pot with it. They complement each other. And it helps build your immune system, your eyes, lungs and also adjusts your attitude for coping. All something that will be helpful while living in this agriculture community.

maybe if i can grow pot i can get rebates from the gov., like the farmers. but i can only do one thing at a time so i will have to drink and smoke separately

I know and understand what you mean, subsidies are a perpetual scam, for sure, to support not agriculture but corporate peto-chemical agriculture. The taxing structure is way out of balance and is conditioning everyone to just give up and to go smoke a big bowl, for sure.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Sagittarius

The rumour mill is especially active, and interesting tales are coming at you from all sides. Don't believe everything you hear: there are people who will start gossip to further their own aims and you don't want to help them unwittingly. Similarly, don't reveal too much of yourself to those who you don't know intimately - keep your own counsel.
