What race are people of India?

I have read somewhere the men are are close genetically to Europeans while women there are closer genetically to East Asians than they are to Europeans. From my observations from looking at people in India (having been there a few times), I would say women in India look like they have remnants of East Asian DNA in them with slightly round face and slight to sometimes significant East Asian features while the men, on the whole, appear much more Caucasoid in their features (sharper features, narrow nose, straight hair but almost always black, etc), especially in the North.

Here is an article that claims Europeans invaded India several thousand years ago and shoved the locals aside who were an Asian race and took their women.

India has a bunch of groups. They're the most mongrelized people on Earth. East Indians are probably about 60% Caucasoid 15% Mongoloid and 35% Australoid. Dravidians (South Indians) are Caucasoid-Australoid hybrids with smaller amounts of Mongoloid blood. The Northern Indians "have more" white in them. Pretty much all of the groups have Caucasoid skulls though.

R is the Aryan haplogroup. Punjabis are only white by your judgement, but I wouldn't put Indians in any specific racial category. They are just Indians.

Indians may be called South Asians because of India's geographical location but in terms of genetics, they are classified under Caucasoids.75% of India is caucasoid.It depends on what part of India you're talking about between the borders of India and China and in Nepal you'll find Mongoloid ppl they look like a mix of chinese and Indian.

All I can tell you is Indians are Indians there's all different kinds of people in India and it just depends on what part of the country you're talking about.

Few people still think Indians are genetically closer to black people but this is not true.

Other Asians such as the Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tibetan, Mongolians, Indochinese (Thai, Vietnamese, Laotian, Burmese, Cambodian) Malays, Indonesians, Filipinos, etc are classified under Mongoloids.

Indians are mixed, and that is why some have Caucasian look through the persian and arab ruler before any european came to sub -continent india, but most of them have mongoloid skull rather than causcasoid skull

Unfortunately, I was suckered into that ridiculous kumbaya mentality as well until recently. I found this website because I am researching kidney transplants and was just made aware that race does matter! And in my case, begin of mixed race, it is almost impossible to find a match because of the mix up of my genetic code. Even if I find someone who is also racially mixed who is willing, it is almost scientifically impossible that we will have the same genetic make up within one generation. It is the PC crowd such as yourself that have allowed people to believe lies based on your feeling of guilt which want to make everyone the same. Well I've got news for you. We aren't. And races aren't. Why not try researching something before you spout your ignorance next time.

you guys are soo stupid!! indians are Asians what else can they possibly be??...they are like either hindu or buddist...which spread eastward...to china korea japan all the smaller asian islands in between im christian but i should know im half indian,korean,and japanese, and yes i have FREAKING AMAZING SKIN AND HAIR!!lols!! my parents met in nepal if you know its the border between china and india...you know nepal like in mount everest which is in india the tallest mountain in the world...they met their...its so cool!! but all of india is asian...places like thailand which is in asia also between india and china are asian influnced thai looks asianish a mixish but acts completely indian...when you keep going all the way east like tip top like japan even buddism is still there...if anything india could be any more asianer...more asian then asians they influenced asians with religion ...teaching ...etc...its all the same...but (india,korea,japan,thai,etc) they are all asian just with different looks...some indians actually look like oriential asians like korean or thai or japanese...b.c many indians live on the east oritental side...they are fucking beautiful...so jealous...hope i helped from a real asian person...

indian people are considered their own race, south asian. THey are closer to being caucasian than african and used to be considered caucasian but are now considered their own race. I know because i live in an area with tons of indian people and whenever a brown guy shoots someone they call them south asian in the newspapers. South asian accounts for indian and some middle eastens people that basiclly look brown, not east asian people like chinese/japanese looking.
