Research suggests genetic basis for austism

Full story: National Post

The findings published in the journal Nature help confirm the strong role that genes play in autism, and also suggest that small genetic disruptions may begin in the parentsa eggs and sperm.

No, it doesn't. For the vaccine deniers to spew their lies and pushing taking research away from genetics work is hurting kids with autism. And these liars pushing anti-vaccine ideas also hurt all other kids as well.

I am always puzzled why the anti-vaccine crowd hates kids so much that they want to see them die from preventable diseases. They are only a small step above going out and killing the kids themselves

If my "research" you mean make believe then sure.

The fact of the matter is ONE guy invented the idea that the MMR vaccine causes autism because he had an alternate vaccine to market.

He has since been stripped of his medical licence.

Too late though, since every trailer park from the shore to shore is now convinced that it's not their fault their kids are retarded

Funny how fools like this get it backwards. People are anti-vaccine damage. We want it stopped. We also want vaccines fixed. At the moment its filthy garbage. It needs to be cleaned up, proven to work, shown it doesn't induce other disease and conditions, or it should be replaced by programs that expose and isolate children so they are given life long immunity withour vaccine damage issues.

This is exactly what we expect to hear from people who are uneducated and completely unfamiliar with the actual science of vaccination.

If we were talking about cars, this is what you would sound like:

"We just want cars fixed so they have doors and don't all contain mountain lions."

The suggestion that the best solution to prevent something like small pox is to deliberately give a child small pox is so spectacularly stupid, I seriously doubt you were able to do your own typing.

Speaking of education, get you high school diploma. All you're doing is flaming. Your opinion isn't science, proof or helpful. Don't exaggerate, don't talk nonsense, and don't fly of on a tangent. Try listening, try understanding, try learning, try researching.

DUH. No guy invented the idea MMR causes autism. He was studying children with digestive issues, some were autistic. Autistic children have these issues generally. He found live vaccine strain measles in the guts of many. He thought more research should be done to ascertain if gut issues were due to the live virus he found. He wrote a scientific paper. It was published. He was at first hailed as finding something exciting about this condition. The media found out, it hit the papers. Parents were influenced by the media and were frightened. They stopped getting the MMR. Measles returned. In order to reestablish control and appease Pharma who was losing money, a decision to destroy Wakefield and his research was planned. They twisted the issue, accusing of everything except crucifying Jesus Christ. He faced a kangaroo court that had him guilty before his "fair trial" began. He received whistle blower treatment, and was ousted. But it never proved all vaccines are safe, or that MMR doesn't cause autism. It proved that power lies in the hands of Pharma and its minions, and they can take you out if you get in their way of making $$$.

Speaking of spew, thanks for stopping by to show your ignorance. Hint: your opinion is not science. Its not proof, and its not sensible.

The video showing Wakefield at a conference in 1999, telling the audience about the time he lined up kids to give blood samples at the birthday party of one of his children: he needed a control group of children who did not have autism, and this was convenient.“Two children fainted,” he said.“Another threw up over his mother.” For their service, they were rewarded with £5.“People said to me,‘Andrew, you know you can’t do this to people; children won’t come back,’” he recounted.“I said,‘You’re wrong — listen, we live in a free-market economy; next year, they’ll want £10.’”

"Finally Wakefield allowed for an error in his judgment.“I think the press conference is something we could have done without,” he acknowledged. It is no small concession. The media response might not have been so inflammatory; vaccination rates might not have taken such a hit; and on a personal level, Wakefield might have at least been spared accusations of provoking hysteria with calculated hype."

This is 'your' Wakefield. You can have him, no one else wants him.

The second paragraph says it all. Media response. Inflammatory media response that caused vaccine rates to drop leading to "accusations". He was accused of everything but crucifying Christ.
Sounds like the children's parents were at this party, and gave consent. Giving blood makes me sick to my stomach too, so what? He needed samples, and must have explained that before parents agreed. Not one of your best posts.

What about lover Paul Offit.

Does'nt he patent vaccines and hold new conferences that vaccines are safe.

Funny how after hundrends of thousands of kids suffer directly from autsim shortly after vaccination. Only provaxxer fools like you are quick to dismiss it.

Anothet funny part, is the provaxxers think they are more educated and more in touch with science. hahahah

But Raymond, hundrends of thousands of kids are recovering, including McCarthy's son. So what's the average, 2 or 3 years of autism prior to recovery?

Wakefake had his own pending patents on 2 or 3 measles vaccines, so don't act like Offits one means much of anything. He doesn't even hold that patent anymore. Wakefake himself said .“I said,‘You’re wrong — listen, we live in a free-market economy; next year, they’ll want £10.’”

I think you're up to late. Get some sleep. Offit made millions off his vaccine. I had heard Wakefield had one concoction first time I've heard anyone exaggerate to say 2 or 3. The rest of what you say is certified nonsense.

Hard to keep track with so many lies coming from Wakefake. His measles patent was pending prior to the release of his study. It also had some secret ingredient to prevent GI issues prior to ever being diagnosed with it. Imagine giving that vaccine to children.

As for the rest, Offit did sell his shares, in 2009 I believe. He wasn't the only holder of that vaccine, either.

So where are Wakefield's vaccines now? If he had viable ideas, he could move to a scum vac maker and make profit like Offit. And since he's a money grubbing low life like you describe, why would he not do just that?

If no one will publish studies with his name on it, who do you think will back him on a vaccine? Who of the public do you think would buy it? And think of it, he'd have to do studies to prove it was safe. "here ya go, a secret ingredient for ya's.
Bottom line, he was banking on the publics rejection of the MMR due to his study and it back fired. It ended in total rejection, the need for his single jab was useless. The result of course was record out breaks in the UK. He did himself in right from the get-go. Offit was always for vaccines. Wakefake on the other hand was too, aside from being a intestinal transplant surgeon, then changed his position, a few times. Since his 'make it rich scam' failed, he rejects all vaccines.
