At the moment the only topics we have are vs fights (which can get boring), stories (which I enjoy) and Who is giga fan? pages (which is getting stupid now, JUST IGNOOR HIM!!!)

This is a new type of topic for anyone to respond to where you state any theories you have about prehistoric animals.

Well, this is not exactly a theory, but more of a wild idea I had. What if dinosaurs had ears like mammals? I know that since both reptiles and birds didn't have them that its highly improbable, but there might be a tiny chance. For me its not hard to imagine, especially with smaller more feathered dinosaurs.

Well, if they could avoid every possible way of extinction until today, I believe that they will be a little more further into their evolution, probably smarter, maybe larger. I really don't think they'll change much in intelligence though, maybe they'll get as smart as a wolf if their lucky.

Herbivores - They would have better hearing - Easier to detect predators - Predators more stealthy.

Predators - Easily sense prey - Easier to hunt - Mammals and small reptiles in serious danger.

Wow, so having ears would have greatly changed the dinosaur world.

But Troodon was already as smart as a fox: http://www.youtube.com/watch... - Skip to about 30.30

Really? This is new to me. Last I heard the smartest dinos were only as smart as the dumbest birds. But this is good. It raises their intelligence afterwords I believe so if they survived, I wouldn't be surprised if Troodon's realtives were as smart as dolphins or maybe chimps. Anyways, no extinction of the dinosaurs means no riae of the mammals, which means we wouldn't be here 0.0

Then that raises the question, what about us!?!?!:0

dun dun dun......

But in all seriousness, such a thing like that would be unlikely. If a animal did reach our intelligence in the past then it most have had ancesters. As far as we know, no species of dinosaur was ever as intelligent as a primate or dolphin let alone your average house mouse.

The smartest dinos like raptors and troodontids would be about as smart as mice.

What do you guys think of "The Dinosauroid"? It's the hypothetical creature that Troodon "could" have evolved into had it not gone extinct. This is based on the fact that Troodon and the Cretaceous mammals it hunted (our ancestors) had similar brain to body ratios and hence had equal chances of becoming highly evolved. If those small mammals evolved into us, what could Troodon have evolved into? This is from the TV series "Paleoworld" (which i love as you can probably tell) and it adresses this question-

This is from my youtube channel BTW.

if the dinosaurs hadn't become extinct they continued to become more advance, the carnivores will get bigger and they will have a more advance brain the herbivores will get big also and they will have more weapons to defend themselves and the mammals will stay small and the sea reptiles and the pterosaurs will get more bigger and became more intelligent and powerful. that is mt theory of ''if the dinosaurs hadn't become extinct''

Well i personally think it wouldn't have evolved into a humanoid form. They lived different lifestyles.

I highly doubt that there was any form of civilisation. They were not tool users, essential to build anything. Many would have been like lions or other pack animals but that would be the extent of social gathering of such creatures

also ripa your account has been activated on imperial palace, apologies for the delay
