chemical in the Soft drinks
Hi,I am cecil,working in a chemical trade platform(http://www.lookchem.c om).Now,I want to share with you someting about chemistry.
In summer, people always like drink Soft drinks.Open the cap ,we will see the bubbles boiling, and when we drink it into our Stomach, gas will push out.What's this? Well,it is Carbon dioxide.
When preparing the Soft drinks, People ususally use soda (sodium bicarbonate) and citric acid .When the soda and citric acid dissolve in water they interact with each other, then they react to generate carbon dioxide .Make sure that stopper has been tightened, then carbon dioxide was forced to stay in the water.When the stopper is open, the pressure on the outside is smaller than inside , and carbon dioxide in water escapes. When people drink soft drinks, temperature in stomach is high , and there was no time to absorb carbon dioxide, therefore it escape from the mouth, taking the heat. so people feel cool.
