WHAT does Goldilocks want? At least four times in the last few years, astronomers have announced they have found planets orbiting other stars in the sweet spot known as the habitable zone - not too hot, not too cold - where water and thus perhaps life are possible.

Need to confirm there is a mantle/crust with surface water. The comfortable temperatures of around 22 celcius make them attractive prospects.

All the planets and stars is but the cosmic and material manifestation of the individual souls and so spirit of the totality which is beyond the idea of time and space. Even the moon is but a total manifestation of the negative or responsive nature of men. With their fall and rise they too rise and fall, so every individual is links to a certain planet/star and with their every activity the sorround stars and planets also moves and even create new stars and planets. But the question arises what is Nebaru....

Astrologers cannot mastermind all the facts, so tell a lot yet something always missing and the science always gives its answer by only materrial observation which is mere a fairy tale. Ibn Arabi the great Sufi of Spain has termed this as WAHHADATUL WUZUD (UNITY OF BEING)....

All the NASA's program on space will be a vain at last, as we are not discovering any stars or planet at all, it's all but the cosmic manifestation of our deeds and too we can only mastermind the time and space when we look unto the UNITY, which religion has termed as God. God is nothing but the UNITY OF BEING, the KERNEL OF THE KERNEL of our BEING.

I think you mean Niburu? It is a fairy tale. http://www.nasa.gov/topics/earth/features/201... |

For example, if Mr Elias, the Indian lover, throws his hand into the air - it will certainly move around some stars - as our real being is God.

Ya, u r right, that planet has discovered by NASA in 1982 - which is heading towards earth and it will certainly hit our planet, but which of our devastating thought has created this planet as our real being is UNITY. |

The UNITY OF BEING wants that we just love and not hate. Therefore even the Bible says, God is love.

You really like making an idiot out off yourself don't you. Nibiru, is a supposed planet discovered by the Sumerians, which supposedly is headed toward Earth. but it;s a myth just like your god. |

We will colonize other planets eventually, and mess them up just like Earth!

As long as we don't send god nutters we will be able to do it properly this time, without any distractions from crazed morons. It may not be long before an exploratory probe is sent to The Centauri binary, already they are reasonably sure there are planets in orbit, but those investigating the centauri group are using wobble technology which is almost old hat. Those using Kepler are using a different more accurate method that involves light. I read awhile ago that when Kepler finishes it's job, they will focus it on the Centauri group and that may be some time next year. |

true, as long as we control our reproduction rate, with the right technology we could live without disrupting the planet.

If we confirm a planet with liquid water and the right mix of gases in its atmosphere that's certainly an encouraging step towards finding life. However it's still a far step from identifying a planet that we perhaps could colonise. If it is significantly bigger and more massive than Earth then we would weigh much more if we set foot on it ... perhaps too much to survive for long. Any native life on such a planet would live most readily in oceans which support their bodies, or as very low profile moss and lichen-like ground-hugging plants that don't have to fight gravity much. Non-marine creatures capable of locomotion would likewise have to be extremely squat and muscular, else very low density and fragile to minimize weight. The atmosphere is likely to be denser than ours, so winged creatures in flight might be able to exploit the same support advantage that sea-dwellers can, except when they come in to land. Perhaps they could only take off and land from oceans where one form of overall support takes over from another immediately. The mix of life forms would be different from our planet's, even if evolution there has had time to produce complex life. |

There appear to be four strains of thought on ET life; a) It's going to be simple life forms i.e. microbes b) It's going to be complex but completely different to earth and full of strange creatures with no resemblance to earth c) There will be beings and they will be far more advanced than us and look like stick insects d) all life evolves exactly the same way over time so expect to see humanoids |

You forgot e) An ancient race of aliens seeded Earth life through the galaxy using Stargates, warp drives or something similar |

Ahhh yes, then they came back to check on our progress http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_astronau... **Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the LORD God among the trees of the garden.** |
