well i am one of the few gals that is going to specialize in large animals, but i have to say $6,000 really isnt going to knock a dent in how much i owe and am going to owe for school loans. that takes 8+ years ya know, and you have to relocate for four years...

I agree. I unfortunately didn't get into vet school although I was in serious doubt of whether or not I wanted to go anyway. While doing research, it would cost me going to University of Illinois around 40K a YEAR. $6,000 is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

yea but i woudnt turn it down or anything! hehe, it is a very nice gesture for the state to do, just not enough to change someones path or anything....
