SUZUKI: The fundamental failure of environmentalism

I disagree that environmentalist is a failure. It has merely gone mainstream. That is, it is the second greatest issue on the political agenda, behind only economics.

There are very few people that do not understand the central necessity of maintaining the environment while generating goods and services to make our lives easier.

The failure today is of the political system, which no longer listens to the public on such items but only the lobbyists and the corporations.

The point is really that the whole claim of 'CO2 is vital to life' and 'CO2 is plant food' promoted by Earthling is not so much that it is technically wrong, but that it is IRRELEVANT to the issue of CO2 as a 'thermal pollutant'. Agreed?
