Stupid question. The Republicans will try to pick up every racist vote they can. They don't care how they get votes.

Will racism hinder Obama's re-election? No...that's what helped get him elected in the first place. Then there were the kool-aid drinkers who believed in that Hope & Change rhetoric.

If race was an issue, then Obama would not have been elected. As if being a movie star in your heyday were, Reagan would have not become a president. Money talks, who has the clout...that will decide your next president...not our votes.

Look at the Black and hispnics........we are at 15.1% unemployment......without Obama's fuzzy math. The total number of unemployed fell below 13 million for the first time since February 2009, while the total amount of employed Americans rose to 141.6 million, an increase of 847,000 from December. The unemployment rate was last this low in February 2009 as well. The closely watched labor-force participation number, which can skew the unemployment rate, was unchanged at 63.7 percent. Unemployment for blacks plunged from 15.8 percent to 13.6 percent, while the rate for Hispanics fell from 11.0 percent to 10.5 percent. The teen unemployment rate rose one-tenth to 23.2 percent. The so-called real unemployment rate, which measures discouraged workers as well and is referred to as the U-6, nudged lower to 15.1 percent. Long-term unemployment, though, remains a problem, with the duration dropping from a near-record 40.8 weeks to 40.1 weeks. Also, the level of discouraged workers surged, rising 7 percent to its highest level since December 2010. Job growth remains one of the two missing pieces of the recovery puzzle, even though the rate has been on a steady trek lower

Nobody is denying Obama won by a landslide...but still there are a lot of people who chose either to vote for him because he's black, or to NOT vote for him because he's black.

Racism will HELP Obama get re-elected. The more racist a group the more LEFT they are now., Any who have bought into being nothing more than a Hypenated American are sure to vote Obama. Plus the Democrats have made a cause celeb of marginalizing citizens using Victimhood thus discouraging efforts which might lead to success in the minority populations.

Newt Gingrich’s “Food Stamp-President” quip and Donald Trump’s birth certificate obsession shows just how despicable the right-wingers are as they desperately try to get the Black guy out of the White House. Many right-wingers will try to divide the country with bigotry and racism in an effort to win elections; hopefully the majority of the American people will reject them by re-electing President Obama, if not then the unpatriotic racist will have won.

Will racism hinder Obama's re-election?
Doesn't that depend on the power of the voting block? I suggest yes with white conservatives and no with blacks and hispanics.

Probably not that much; the racists didn't vote for him the first time, and won't this time, either. And if Romney wins the nomination, as it looks like he will, he's unlikely to play the race card - unlike Newt. The economy is and will continue to be the big issue in the election.

This is the most likely form we'll see racism in; rabid right wingers projecting their own racism onto black people. These would-be Klansmen know they can't get away with open, overt racism anymore, so they play the race card more carefully. Dirty is right - your post certainly was.

Anyone who reads the comment from the rightwing-nuts on this board will tell you racism plays a HUGE part in their thinking. We can all copy & paste tons of examples from those faux-Christians who allow their thoughts to be clouded by their hatred of other races.
