Reality Check wrote: L M A O "Additional officers were called in to track the man for littering. " That's a RIOT! Gotta love Capitola! Can Santa Cruz borrow these guys for a few days? Lots of 'litter' to clean up here. Well, I say let the guy off with a slap on the wrist for at least getting into the face of the parking nazi's in capitola!! Something I'm sure every hard working normal tax paying local has dreamed of...

Dear Clair: I can't believe you took the time to answer my post. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Clarification wrote: <quoted text> However, I don't think I understand what you are saying. Maybe you're being sarcastic? The guy has a stolen vehicle. If he threw the citation at the officer, that is an assault on a public official. And I believe most of their parking enforcement is done well by the officers in wheelchairs. So, the officer issues a citation to a stolen vehicle without knowing so. Then the address or license plate # that is on the citation goes to the owner of the car. Unless the thief tried to register it in his name...(wouldn't happen... would have been caught already). So are you saying that the owner of the car should pay for the citation and late fees? They didn't know where the car was and hopefully have it back today without damage.

Whodunnit wrote: The police are so lazy. All the parking enforcement officer had to do was bend over and pick-up the ticket. He could have bought a 44 cent ticket, and used a envelope from the CPD. The address to mail it to was on the citation, so it wold be easy for the office to copy the address onto the envelope. The poor guy could have been saved all the trouble of being cited and having his medication confiscated. Now the courts are really going to be backlogged. Sheesh! __________ Thats funny ,, Good to see some here has a sense of humor :):):):)

The arrest was actually a lucky break for the owner of the stolen vehicle. Had the dumass just taken the ticket quietly he probably would have gotten away with his theft. The ticket would have been assigned to the registered owner of the car, not the driver. Maybe someone needs to find another line of work. Karma is a biatch!
