Why doesn't the photograph on the headline article show the main culprit rather than the underlings?

Can you say M-A-F-I-A? This is the local chapter of the Mafia in Monterey. It will be interesting to see who else shakes out in this. Hummmmm!

I was shocked to see that Jim Lucero had been arrested. I know Jim and Shelley. And admired how they enjoyed his success. They are terrific people. It is unfortunately that greed overtook his good judgement. The article talks about a lavish lifestyle. But they lived on par with the golden rectangle set. Expensive cars, jewelry, and a carmel cottage are commonplace. It is a shame that he has put his family in this position. Are tens of millions really necessary?

Hey Carmel Point- You ADMIRED how they enjoyed success? What a stupid, shallow thing to say. They were not terrific. They stole millions and flaunted it to compensate for their low self-esteems.You need to get your "character meter" adjusted. Living in the golden rectangle doesn't make one a terrific person.It takes an intimate relationship with another to see just how terrific they are.

Brandi-you have misplaced anger. You need to seek professional help. . .rather than spewing your frustrations out on those who give their personal perspective on an issue. I stand by what I said about the Lucero's-they were a lovely couple. And they had a great time spending money-exotic trips, luxury cars, horses, and the like. They are less lovely now, that it has been discovered that Jim cheated people to earn his money. That is not right, good, or fair. And the justice system will take care of him for his crime. My previous post did not in anyway agree with or defend Jim's criminal activities. I was commenting on the Lucero's that I knew socially.

Hey everyone that commented knows nothing about this case. the case has gone through 2 D.A's and is about to get dopped, due to no conclusive evidence . Funny look up the Ceo's of waste mng. have all served time due to insider trading. So F*CK ALL YOU.
