Family Court Judge Carrie Zepeda

No worries - she's gone for good. But let's face it, the rest of them are not any better and if any of them are reading this I have only one question: "WHY DO YOU THINK YOU DO NOT NEED TO READ ANY COURT DOCS IN THE FILES????!" They all come in and wing it every time. They have the files there next to them for posterity and the dust on them blows around the courtroom every time they crack one open.

It looks like it has been a long time since any comments were posted on this site. I was perusing the SCC Judicial website, and it looks as if Judge Zepeda no longer hears family court cases. Can anyone confirm that? It was my understanding that she is up for re-election in 2010. I just want to make sure there is an effort to keep her off the bench in family court if there is any possibility she is still involved in this department.

My lengthy experience in Family Court has left me with the awareness that this most impactful area of the court system is allowed to function and operate in darkness. Family Court captures little attention and little oversight. Judges routinely issue orders having nothing to do with Family Law. In my experience I discovered that the outcome that the Judge wanted to achieve was simply manipulated and caused to occur through an inexplicable series of orders designed to produce the sought after outcome. The outcome that I believe was desired by the Judge in San Francisco was simply to get the case out of his court.
He accomplished this through a "starve-out"....My ex-spouse is a health care professional earning well over $500,000 a year. The Judge (initials PM) refused to enforce support orders despite non-payment for over a year and a half--It goes without saying that a custodial parent receiving no support has no capacity to deal with the implications of court...you are much more concerned with the day to day struggle to keep your child fed.
I am convinced that much of what has been described as judicial arrogance and incompetence would be dramatically changed if we installed video systems in court rooms rather than inaccessible transcriptionists. The record that would be a part of a video system would provide a far more telling record of how parties and counsel are actually treated in court.---

Wow. If this Judge Zepeda is as bad as everyone says she is, she needs to be reported to the Commission on Judicial Performance. Just talking and complaining will not get results.Stand up for yourselves people and take back your rights.

at what point can one get started with appeal process? what is good source of information? I am preparing for filing complaint with Judicial Committee, but along with that intend to take Judge Zepeda's process and decisions to appellate court.

How to remove a family court judge that was biased in the court room?

Hi Everyone, I wanted to see if anyone had any experiences with Elizabeth Hendrickson in Alameda County.

I don't know what's going on here, but I didn't like this judge because as hard as my husband tried to have more visitation with his son(another women). This judge was rude. She didn't let my husband say a word. I figured because the atty was pregnant as well as my stepson's mother, that she just gave it to them. He just asked for more time with his son. He asked for joint custody. She gave him every other weekend and then 30 days in the summer. That is not enough. She was very biased. My husband's in the military, so his son only gets to see him when he is home. Its ridiculous that there are so many men out there who don't really care about their kids and she's giving them breaks, but a man who will do any and everything for his kid she treats him like nothing.
