I remember back in the 1950's when they first started talking about cable TV. It would revolutionize the television industry by offering commercial free TV to it's customers. The idea was, the viewers would pay a small monthly fee for television and the broadcasters wouldn't have to sell commercial time to pay for programming.

Well, here we are, 50 years later and what do we have? Expensive television offering little in the way of choice about the channels you'll receive and outrageous commercial breaks. I was watching a program the other evening and decided to count the number of commercials during the commercial break. The number was sixteen. Every ten minutes, 16 commercials were zapped at viewers.

The perpitrators of cable and satilite television should be thrown in prison for fraud and conspiricy.
