Were you the anti-homosexual marriage person that made the claim my relationship couldn't have that special love?
If you weren't, then I think you should reconsider who is having the problem understand what people have posted.

lol..are u serious? NDAA, The assassination of al-Awlaki. The fact is there is an executive order that bans assassinations and there are protections in the Bill of Rights against such murders. it's not just that the great obama has killed an American citizen without affording him his due process rights: He's done it in secret, refusing to have the DOJ release any documentation of the legal reasoning behind the attack. If the great obama can kill an American citizen...however deserving he is of being killed without even making clear the grounds on which he had him taken out, what's to stop the great obama from using the same premise to take out other Americans with whom he disagrees?

do you understand why the gay community is more interested in changing the meaning of a word than getting equal rights under a different name
The meaning hasn't been changed, it still means committing yourself to another person, it has only been add to, to include homosexuals.
Yes, because accepting another word would led people to believe homosexual marriages are less, and that would continue the cycle of hate.

PBR? LOL,Did someone mention a PBR? They were great weren't they Joe? A finer 50 foot boat has not been made since! They certainly past the test of time! Hey and they made great boats for skiing also! I have to tell you though,I don't ever remember being strapped in as you had to be ready to duck in a hurry if need be! When were you in,and did you do extensive duty on one? Just curious! I know off topic,my bad, sorry! Now back to the hate and bigotry! LOL
I only wished I could of strapped myself in, in the open ocean. They didn't have any straps, you just had to hang on. I spend 22 months on one, a mark 2 class, from 1969 to 1971. I spend the first 14 months in the front twin fifties, love them. The last months I spend as the boat captain, was to my liking.

Wrong again.........

The vast majority of Americans are willing to give them equal rights under a different name.....

If they are stuck on the word marriage then we will vote to stop them........Period......End of the story....

Take it or leave it....

And the majority of Americans are now willing to even ban same sex unions......

I told you and the gay community this years ago and you laughed.....

Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, stated, “It can be said that within the last 60 years, this is the first time that the Zionist regime, since its illegal inception, has had to endure rejection by the West over its vision and interest in the region.” And obama favors the Muslim Brotherhood, turns his back on Israel.

Hmmm! I always thought that marriage was a contract made in due form of law. To make a valid marriage, the parties must be willing to contract, able to contract, and have actually contracted. They must be willing to contract. Generally, all persons who are of sound mind, and have arrived to years of maturity, are able to contract marriage.

Has anyone read the Respect for Marriage Act? H.R. 1116 & S. 598. It is a proposed bill in Congress that would repeal the Defense of Marriage Act DOMA) and allow the U.S. federal government to provide benefits to couples in a same-sex marriage; the bill would not compel individual states to recognize same-sex marriages. It was introduced in 2009 in the 11th Congress, and then again in the 112th Congress in 2011.

<quoted text>There are actually 33 states down and 43 states who have banned gay marriages.
Let's see.....50 states in the Union.......6 grant the right to marry......that would leave 44 states, of which New Mexico has NO BAN or status on the issue one way or the other......that would leave 43 states and 3 of those have passed Marriage Equality acts just this year, but they are being challenged.....so, now you'd be down to 40 states.......of which 12 states offer either Civil Unions or Domestic Partnerships or the Everything but Marriage Act........so, that would bring you down to 38 states.......and 32 have official Constitutional Bans on the right to marry for Same-Sex Couples......that only leaves 6 STATES WITHOUT A BAN......funny, but your math was just blown out of the water.....and here's a map that shows where each state is at this time:

I never laught, I just don't believe homosexual should settle for another name for the same thing. One of my reasons is in my earlier post.
That vast majority you claim is vastly older conservatives, and the vast majority of young people are for homosexuals right to marry.
Guess what happens to old people.
Guess who will be left.

Public opinion of same-sex marriage in the United States is a widely reported topic, with most recent polls showing majority support for legal recognition of same-sex marriage. Support has increased steadily for more than a decade, with supporters first achieving a majority in 2010.[1]

When the Defense of Marriage Act was signed in 1996, only 25% of the American public supported same-sex marriage; support has increased gradually ever since. An August 2010 CNN poll became the first national poll to show majority support for same-sex marriage,[2] with numerous polls after it showing majority support.[3][4][5][6]

Support for same-sex marriage generally correlates with lack of religious fundamentalism, young age,[7] Democratic Party affiliation, and residence in the Northeast and West Coast of the United States.[8] Women are also more likely to be in support than men.[4] Opposition to same-sex marriage is generally correlated with fundamental religious belief, older age, Republican Party affiliation, and residence in the South and Midwest.[9][8]

Your negative view doesn't seem to add up.
Polls in 2012

A May 10 USA Today/Gallup Poll, taken one day after Barack Obama became the first sitting President to express support for same-sex marriage,[13] showed 51% of Americans agreed with the President's endorsement.[14] A May 8 Gallup Poll showed plurality support for same-sex marriage nationwide, with 50% in favor and 48% opposed.[15]

An April Pew Research Center poll showed support for same-sex marriage at 47%, while opposition fell to an all-time low of 43%.[16]

A March 7-10 ABC News/Washington Post poll found 52% of adults thought it should be legal for same-sex couples to get married, while 42% disagreed and 5% were unsure.[17] A March survey by the Public Religion Research Institute found 52% of Americans supported allowing same-sex couples to marry, while 44% opposed.[18]

A February 29 - March 3 NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found 49% of adults supported allowing same-sex couples to marry, while 40% opposed.[19]

[edit] Polls in 2011

Public support for same-sex marriage continued to grow in 2011. In February and March, a Pew Research Center for the People & the Press survey found about as many adults favored (45%) as opposed (46%) allowing same-sex couples to marry legally, compared to a 2009 Pew Research survey that found just 37% backed same-sex marriage while 54% opposed.[20] In March and April, polls by Gallup,[4] ABC News/Washington Post,[5] and CNN/Opinion Research[6] all showed that a majority of Americans approved of same-sex marriage.

As had been the case since 1996, there remained a wide partisan division. In March, Pew reported that 57% of Democrats favored legal recognition for same-sex marriage, and 51% of independents agreed, but only 23% of Republicans agreed.[20] An April CNN/Opinion Research Poll showed majority support including 64% of Democrats and 55% of independents, but only 27% of Republicans.[6]

Ever poll I've see shows growth in support of SSM sense 1996.
Even the DOMA is slowly falling apart. Homosexuals right to marry is moving forward, slowly.

Fortunately, North Carolina has shown that indulging gays even with "civil unions" only encourages them......this is just another country and another time in history where this has happened and this same thing happened in pre-1940's Germany and it led to the governmental acts of removing gays.
So what you are saying is that the Nazi holocaust against gay people was right?
