Your article mentions there was an "effort" made to save the fire pits, yet I never heard one word about it. I love the fire pits in San Diego and would happily stand on a street corner to collect donations. All anyone needed to do was ask. Is it too late? Do we really have until June 30, 2010 to accomplish this? Anyone out there willing to join me in the effort? Where do we begin?
