Not all smokers are litterbugs. It is a matter of being considerate and possessing good manners. MANY nonsmokers litter, too. I guess that it is not cigarette butts they are leaving behind you can ignore it? Please stop being so fixated on the smokers, OK?

We should make the littering smokers go down and clean up all the cigarette butts with a kitty litter scooper.
At least every day for a week until they understand what a disgusting nasty habit it is.
I mean I am sick of people who smoke treating the world like a giant toilet.
Except we can't give them a flush and be done with them.
If they want to smoke make them wear a bag over their head to do so.
At least the only person they would be hurting is themselves.
If you don't like people's comments then quit smoking.

there should be a ban of smoking in beaches. theyre crowded to the dick with people of all ages and its harmful to those around it. so if you're a smoker, shut your hole and go find another damn place to smoke. its not like there's a ban to smoke on the street. you have 90% of the earth to smoke and 10% of the places where you can't. so quit your bitching and take a little walk you lazy bastards.

The beaches in Costa Rica are beautifull, and for the most part empty, Ban the Butt by all means but Plastic is a major problem here it washes down rivers and is dropped off ships and left by tourists, it doesn`t degrade
like paper butts and is unsightly.Keep your beach clean for others to enjoy!

and expected to be totally decomposed in 30,000 years.

I don't like looking at the cigarette butts on the beach either. Most of all, I don't like smelling the rank cigarette smoke in the air. It kinda messes up the pleasant ocean breezes.
