first of all the money thing, the people from vo don't force you to give money, the people give so their church can maintain open, umm anyway where do we live?? PLANET EARTH of course & everything cost money.

*Just how much did become ordained cost you? Did you have to attend over 90 hours of VETI courses @$100.00 for every 3 hours means that you spent at least $2700.00 for you and another $2700.00 for your husband when most ministries train their leaders for free! How much money did Jesus charge his disciples to follow him? Absolutely nothing! United We Can-means please send all you can to keep up the founders Sonny and Julie's lifestyle. Not to mention you had better not ever speak of another vision, as if Sonny was the only one with acess to God! The book of Joel says I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh...and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams- that is a big no-no at Victory Outreach! Be a good little clone of Pastor Sonny and everything will be ok. I want to be like Jesus not like sonny. Yes this Church is definitely a Cult of Personality!

Get up and hit the street, preach the gospel, lead souls to Christ, pray for them, disciple them, do something. Maybe join people who are already doing so, ah, for example V.O.? Those of you who complain about this ministry: remember, God will hold you accountable for every word that comes out of your mouth. That's scriptural but you might not like that one very much...

whoever told you that is way off. we say what we want. i gave my life to Christ in 1993 and this ministry has never let me down. Can you believe this vo Whittier is as asking the congregation to give 90% of their income to the church and for them to keep 10% wow first of all this is unscriptural not biblical and not doctrinal this so call pastor Joe is misleading the people its called fleecing the flock of God .this type of deceptive lure is drawing people away from God .to think that God needs our money.if we been taught well we know we are to give to the house of the Lord (read) 2cor9:6-8 I pray that the people of God don't be deceived by this gimmick beware of these false teachers. I must say, that doesn't sound very Christian like. Regardless of the person, I doubt it's justified to say that you don't have time for them. If anything, that just means they need more time.
Regarding what Lynn said, that is somewhat true. Although you do have the ability to do what you want while in VO (including reading whatever you want), that's not to say that you won't get "rebuked" for reading, watching, or saying what they disprove of. With any luck, that will be the last of it. Without luck, They'll revoke ministerial privileges, start treating you different, or talk about you from the pulpit. Refuse to listen and they may even begin to "mark" you by telling others that you're a bad example and that they shouldn't spend too much time with you.

i dont know since ive been going to victory outreach eagle rock i find im more confused at this church they never give the whole bible its a half a verse and a bunch of homeboy talk but they will always ask for my money they will even give me a amount to give i left this church last sunday.and they all seem to be in cliques here and most of the time to be honest this pastor has been here in this country over 40 years went to school here apu and to this day its hard to understand his english he would be better off at some church in quaxaca mexico i believe thats where hes from its a nightmare to hear this guy try to speak english.so pray for these churches

Yes I agree this cult victory outreach has only one vision to deplete to manipulate to get your money bottom line they sonny Sr and Jr want to continue to live a lavished lifestyle while the people live in poverty sonny has houses in newport beach Covina and New York they should not live above the means of the people these are counterfeits full of greed

I would just like to say that I once went to a VO in the San Fernando Valley and although I have to agree with most of the other posts...I can say that I seen many lives changed, families restored, and addicts set free from their addictions. I am no one to judge what or how VO's run their church. It is easy to focus on the negative without taking a minute to acknowledge the positive outcomes. Everyone who is speaking against this ministry is no better than what you are saying. When did God get off His throne and make you God? I understand your concern...but to publicly snare this ministry is not using wisdom. There are many great men and women of God in this ministry and it is not their fault for any mistakes that anyone else makes. The best thing we as people of God can do is pray. God is ultimately in control. I am not a member of VO but I am a Christian serving the Lord and after reading these posts...it made me sick to hear the foul comments against this ministry. Be careful when speaking agaisnt the men and women of God. Even though my experience while at VO was not the greatest; I still recognize that they are doing a work of God that not many are "BRAVE" enough to do. Reaching the outcasts and leopards in society and willing to lay down their own lives and comforts for the sake of others. We as a body of believers should not fight agaist eachother. The world does that already.

I have been a member for some time now and my husband and I both are realizing their cultish behavior and activities. We recently decided to move out of the homes and try to get life together on our own but remain members of the church because God is definitely there. However, they immediately shunned us, wouldnt let me go back for some of my clothes saying that they were blessings to me and they were taking the blessing back, my husband was working for a man in the church and that job was in turn taken from him because the Pastor suggested the funds were needed in the mens home and in the church, not for a guy who a congregant trying to keep a roof over his families head and food in thier bellies...now they are trying to make our roommates feel like they are being disobedient by allowing us to live with them. I'm being told that when I go to church I need to dress for Jesus - pretty sure my heart is all God is concerned for not what I'm wearing. Lasltly, the emphasis put on money is real. Can u say CULT?

i told my wife from day 1 that i love God and the churc but this one ahhhh not so much!!!
Our pastor was cool till i was "disobedient" by not letting them put me and my wife in seperate homes after we were allowed to live together for 3 months and make alot of progress in our marriage
we were in a MENS home and when they felt i was out of line for defending my wife when a BOY at the home told her to "shut her mouth.and go upstairs" the DIRECTOR TOLD US god spoke to him and God wanted us to be seperated
then our pastor said "He heard from God and God wanted us together then a week later God spoke to him again and told him that it WAS time for us to learn seperate and we were only to talk at Church
i want to know who knows Gods voice pastor or director and does God change his mind weekly because i think "GOD KNOWS THE PLANS HE HAS FORr US. PLANS FOR WELFARE NOT EVIL SO WE CAN HAVE A FUTURE AND HOPE. Right!!

beware beware beware watch out watch out this is a cult do not be deceived yes they say they "profess"jesus but they do not "possess"jesus all mighty all powerfull god who will always provide,they truly believe god is broke and truly needs your money i was in the church for a few years and now have seen and believed they will use every gimick,trick,device to swindle and take and make you believe you need and should give your money to them, every time we gathered they manupulated ,intimitated people to give, yet you could see with physical eyes thier pastors leaders were leading a good well balanced life with all the luxuries the world can give(cars homes money in pocket,clothes,)and the whole time the congregation lived in poverty or below yes there were a few exceptions.they put the men who were in the mens home on general relief, and make them state they were mentally and physically incapable of working in others words (lying) to get money to victory outreach they claim tax exempt (church) yet tax the people for "all" things god showed me with spiritual eyes as well as physical eyes ive been on outings with big name pastors in vegas at a confrenece yet on leasure time were gambling at the slot machines ive seen familes in church recruit only other family members and be put on the payroll,ive seen pastors give messages when they were never prepared they just pulled out old sermons (FROM OLD BOX) and gave it to the people "what a shame" giving old manna to gods precious people ive seen soony arguinzoni drive up in his bmw and the people flock to him like hes something so special "hes just a man" and the rest of the people are barely getting by, lets be open and sincere theres a real problem with this orginazation, ive seen them promise the people on the location in chino to be opened 2 years after leaving la puente. its now been 5 years and still not open weve seen their pastors fall by the wayside to going back to drugs leaving thier wives,for other women "in the womens home" WOW ive seen alot to be convinced this is a destructive orginazation its all about the benjamins money money money and its all done in the name of jesus

you know what i love these people of victory outreach.but i have to agree all with what mr.pelota says it is true its the orginazation that i believe is messed up,they sure did rip off alot of people and saying it was in jesus name i too was involved in v.o. but i can truly rejoice that our lord pulled me out in his time, or else i probabaly would of been deceived by the wayside,yes the list of false misrepresantaion are (1)sonny argunzoni (2)his wife (3)valdez from san diego (4)sonny argunzoni jr (5)augie barajas and the list can go on, in my time of being mislead i gave finances even to the pastors vacation,birthdays,anniversary , and i look back i did it happen, and many are in that boat giving thier hard earn finances to these people to have a good time at our expense and this still continues, i also alsked to see the record of all the finances that are coming in and going out, they refused (what a shame)these records are to be open at all times to church congregations, so i thank my lord since then he has moved me on and now im still able to love the peolple of v.o. but i ask please take it to heart and pray for these deceptive pastors who continue to beat these poor beautiful sheep, but we know our god will bring justice and fully expose this victory outreach church for the way they operate, may the lord jesus christ our savior our god give the people wisdom to see everything going on and no to be so easily led open their wallets and give with out a cause and purpose. i love you my brothers and sister of victory outreach i will be praying for you, and thank you mr pelota for bringing this out in the open

I have known of real estate agents and mortgage brokers,insurance agents,allied to the Mexican Mafia one way or another and proud of this,somehow. If you run into these sick people,please,please, don't trust them EVER! these same characters know Sonny Arguzioni,A.Barajas, and do under the table real estate deals for them. One couple,also commit incest,robbery,vandalism and harrassment of all kinds,while duping clients with"God Talk." If you encouner such people,just be careful to watch these psychopaths,and get everything in writing,only actions,not words,matter! S. California especially-you have been warned. I'm sorry to say this, but they are members of V.O. Eagle Rock,Christian Assembly(same town)and out in the Burbank-Sun Valley areas,V.O. I do really think there ARE good sincere families at V.O. churches,but they may be in the minority,since i have known people who stayed in the men's homes who were screwed over and enslaved. It must be the materialism,hypersexuality among the youth and adults,glorification of" ghetto fabulous" culure,and rank child abuse and chronic mysoginy. I won't set foot in a V.O. church,and empathize with it's victims. Buyer,do beware!!!

yes who do these people think they are, i recentley went to victory outreach with a friend and was amazed after 30 minutes in the the service these ghetto hoodlums looking men cam in like it was a show and sat in the front row me and my friend were laughing at the this scenario and it turned out these people were the pastors wow what a hypocrisy god word says let the servant be the least of all that wasnt displayed there there was no shame to there game you could tell by looking at these men that in the world they never became nothing in themselves so the best way is to do it in the church it was disrespectful disgraceful it was joke on there part they should be in the pews before the people got there and be the last to leave ministering in prayer before and ministering to the people while they are there that is ministry read 2 cor 6:3-10 as people and men of god were called to the highest calling and thats to be a servant of all its not for the church to serve us in ministry we carry our towel of servanthood at all times in 2cor6:3 it says we give no offense in anything that our ministry may not be blamed in anything.i was apalled to see a church operate like this i saw a spirit of pride and arrogancy among those pastors which i couldnt see why there was nothing to be prideful of these men

I must agree about what I see on the blogs here regarding vo. Let me also warn you all about how bad it is to go into business with them. They will use "god talk" to lull you into trusting their word,and blinding you to intent. Real estate agents and mortgage brokers especially are to be watched/or avoided!! Get everything in writing that is promised. And see a R.E. lawyer to look over your docs before signing ANYTHING. Oh,and if you see some with a gang vibe to them,Mexican Mafia has infiltrated them totally. sorry but this is true for now

I came to v.o. Back in the 80's and really enjoyed my time as a new believer, over time life changes you raise children-and reality kicks in. I do love a lot the ministry offers, I came to a point in my life that all I had were ministry relationships like many on this blog. You put in work you have friends and family (so you think), once you stop "putting you hands to the plow" for get it you'll know who are your friends are. It's sad that poor visitors get taxed, for everything from rides, to money, it is a horrible mind set to have in such an awesome vision. Every ministry is fund raising, asking for something, if you truly trust God and are trying to grow the church-try free! Once in a while sow a seed into the city you are in and you will reap! Too many events and your relationship with God is supposedly around these events, my walk revolved around events that's gonna be an excited time and you Gotta be there. Listen to your annoucements. Time to go back to basics and the cross
