The light colored Mexican are not bad people it's the dark skinned ones that cause trouble.

Okay, that is certainly not true. I'm guessing that you are a light-skinned Mexican and I am a dark-skinned Mexican. Most of the people in my hometown are dark skinned are they don't cause problems. Color does not define a person's character...it's their influences.

Defeated people always look for scapegoat. Since blacks cannot avenge themselves on any other race because all of the other races are lighter than them, they have to avenge themselves on themselves. As always, the darker among them becomes the scapegoat. The dark-skinned black suffers two racisms: the general racism and the black to black racism (colorism).

Interesting topic. There is some factual evidence to the preference of "light skinned Mexicans" to "Dark skinned" Mexicans. And easy example of to spend some time on Univision or Telemundo: you NEVER see any on the news or in commericials and the only time you do see them is when you see controversial talk shows and also, upon visiting Mexico myself, i found out that black Mexicans get no respect whatsoever, they get beaten, robbed and murdered, something that lots of people don't even know! Mexicans have that same issue that African Americans have, there's the "whitxicans" and the "Blackxicans" and in Mexico, your complexion dictates your connection, Mexicans don't like to talk about that much but, they just can't seem to hide it, especially when dealing with African Americans. They have that "racial" thing in many instances, much worse than even White people do, they just don't want you to know it.

The preference for light skin in most countries that have been colonialized and militarily subjugated to the whims of the dominant european forces, fall victim to european beauty standards.
This would therefore call for a preference for light skin and keen or sharp features.
We find that the same phenomenon exists in India, Australia, Central and South America. It also exists in China and Japan. These are countries that were not physically colonialized, but are continually dominated by the western media which exalts the european woman as the essence of beauty, itself.

Of course, as we all know, women of color always add a little more flavor to their presentation. I personally find women of a caramel hue to be more palatably suited to my taste. It takes an extra-ordinary female to attract my attention if she's too light-skinned. Though I have found very dark-skinned women with perfect teeth, to be particularly attractive provided that they have the expected physical attributes and that their behavior is refined.

While you give your explanation of how european colonization has had an effect on the psyche of other women as to what beauty standards should be, your definition of what's exceptable as far as what you like is concerned, connotes that this "standard" has had a certain degree of an effect on you as well and it pretty much reflects on american society, at least as far as whites and some blacks are concerned, what's exceptable! Someone whose dark, whose teeth are less than perfect and whose behaviour because of cultural differences, might not be "refined" as you put it, is definately "unexceptable"! While your intentions seem to be good, there's quite a few cracks in what you say!

racism in Mexico not only is an issue in Mexico itself...it also greatly affects the united states with immigration...it's simple really...when dark-skinned Mexicans are discriminated against and when they cant find a place in their own land...they turn to the North...the U.S. it's shameful how people have been influenced and are brainwashed by today's society into thinking a certain type is better. I, a light skinned mestizo sure know what i am talking about. i've been treated differently because of my appearence not just by society but also by my family which is shameful for me to say...no one wants to be discriminated against and i just hope that something like the holocaust does not happen again..........it sounds CRAZY but the least expected should be expected and i'm not saying that it will happen.........just that i hope it does't.========= being a sophmore in high school right now...i feel iv'e already experienced centuries of hate.:(
