This story says
"The letter goes on to say that Fraser was "on loan from the Mission to the VFW" and completed his 100 hours of service at the 1901 Elgin St. VFW Hall, under the supervision of Commander Rick Robertson, whose signature appears on the fraudulent letter. Robertson refused to comment about the letter or Fraser. Robertson was interviewed alongside Fraser in 2007, calling the man his "best friend."
Hopefully Rick was not part of this. As a retired Oroville Police Department Police officer he has way more knowledge than your average guy on the street about fraud.
If Rick Robertson actually signed this letter he committed fraud as well and should be arrested along side his best friend. If someone in this community went to his restaurant and committed fraud against him he would be running to the DA for prosecution.

so real names should be used "sick of it" now?
I just check phone records in sacramento and didn't see you listed there.
Your mother and father must have had a real laugh naming you "sick of it"
What were they sick of? having useless babies or ones without complete use of their brains?

If a former police officer is invovled with a crime he deserves the same justice he dealt out when the badge was on the other flatfoot

Okay, it's bad that he lied about receiving medals. But, at least he was serving during that war. I have heard many stories from people who say they were in a war, then come to find out, they weren't in any war. That's bad too.

Serving during the Vietnam era does not qualify a person as a Vietnam Veteran. Being stationed in the Philippines is no different than being stationed at Beale AFB or Fort Meyer, Virginia, or any where else in the World during that period of time.
I did serve in Vietnam, 7/68–7/69, and even now I don't go around bragging about being a Vietnam Vet. Because of my job, I saw very little and limited "combat" duty. Mainly when occasionally having our base attacked with rockets and mortars. Although I fired weapons in the general direction of mussel flashes, I cannot say I ever actually saw an enemy combatant and doubt seriously if I ever wounded an enemy.
This jerk has seen to many war movies and wants recognition he does not deserve. I hope this time they throw the SOB in jail, along with anyone who assisted him in perpetrating the fraud.
