I am a proposition 8 supporter. I volunteer in a building that has received bomb threats because most of us who work there support it. I will always leave retribution for attacks against me and mine in the Lord's hands; he has commanded me to love my enemies and pray for those who despitefully use me.I can say that you may be able to slash our tires, vandalize our homes, threaten and hurt our persons, but there is something anyone has to fear that is greater than whatever you can do. God has given us a standard and commanded us to stand as a light on a hill. If you hurt us, it is because He allows it for His purposes. All we will say is:

Didja realize that these writings you posted are all from the Old Testament and applied to the Hebrews ONLY? You did good looking up all those old rules but I must tell you that there is this thing.....called the New Testament, and with it came a new covenant between mankind and god. The most notable change was that ALL people could be saved by grace because of one person's sacrifice.
If you are going to play in a certain arena, you should have your facts straight.

this is a deep subject...First off I have nothing against homosexuals personally..(especially when it's 2 women.)lol. I actually know a few gay people and they are human too..I'm African American so I know what ot's like to be treate differently for something you cannot change.Some people say you can't control being gay, But with most of the gay's I know there was some significant moment in their lives that was the cause of the path they ventured upon....
They deserve to have the rights normal people have that's the law period..but when it comes to the church they are seperate.. I believe gays should have the rights of a domestic partnership wich would extend them the same privilages as heterosexual marriages, but I dont believe it would be right to call it marriage..The wedding vows are supposed to be "to join this man and this woman in Holy Matrimony" period..what part of this is unclear?...some people will disagree with me..It's expected but I dont see what is so difficult about this...If gay's are given a ceremony that gives the domestic Union rights as far as filing taxes and all the other stuff that should be enough..You can have a ceremony you can change your last name to match all of that..it's cool, I don't think it would be right to have it called and be marriage (Holy Matrimony) cause it's supposed to be between a man and a woman...

Shaddup...out here in CA it's more about the seperation of church and government. There are a vast number of us hetro, married couples to whom religion means nothing nor wre we married in churces. So the religious zealots that say it's God's Law, etc are the ones taking the majority of the hits on this...especially the Mormons.

The ratio in CA was 48% to 52% with Prop 8. There is only approx. 30% Mormons in CA. Why are these people blamin da Mormons? I didn't get that memo. It looks to me that there are many diff. religions concerned. And why does someones sexual preference have any thing to do with anything? I hear where your coming from and I respect that...you dont have to be religious to understand that more than half of the country is religious in some way shape or form.and hold the act of marriage as a highly religious ceremony....and almost all of them believe that homosexuality is wrong that's why prop 8 supporters won..the real problem is peoples failure to compromise...I dont see why they wont allow them a domestic union with all the rights of a marriage..
