Since this batch thinks she has the right to be rude then the cop has the right to knock her on her arse. I'm surprised the cop let them get as far as they did with their behavior. I do think some Vaca PD officers push boundaries, but that's not the case here. These people are lucky they didn't run into one of the bored, aggressive cops.

Police are human, they get annoyed, and they have more power to throw around if they so choose. To me, this is a case of the "I know my RIGHTS" generation. Hard to tell the age of these people, but we old folks learned early that cops are authority figures and you don't smartmouth them, "rights" be damned.

After viewing the video it is obvious the Officer was just doing her job and I might add doing it very well. I don't have a problem with being critical or directing my opinion to an Officer if I think they are in the wrong, but this ridiculous accusation from these anal idiots is laughable if it was not so pitiful.
Personally I felt the Officer showed great patience in dealing with these nitwits. Having similar discussions of my own with other like minded fools the good Officer has my sympathies in this incident.
I agree with Gemineye maybe some feathers were ruffled when the Officer came along and interupted the planned doobie break during the hike.
Oh and a great big "Peck" to the equally anal Reporter for publicizing this non event.

F*ck 1/4 of Vacaville pd. Some of these cops are dicks that hassle folks for horrible reasons. The other 3/4 are great officers.

I think the attitude these "breeders" showed towards this police officer in front of their children was despicable! These kids will grow up not having respect for the law and possibly sometime in their life they will show no respect and be none cooperative during a police involved incident and instead of being questioned and sent on their way they will be cuffed and hulled off to jail thanks to a confrontational lesson their parents taught them in having zero respect for a Vacaville police officer who was simply asking them a question back in January of 2012!
Hey Sara. Do the good citizens of Vacaville a favor and continue driving on I80 the next time you get near our law abiding law enforcement respecting town. We don't need putrid trouble makers stirring up s#@t with our caring and protective law enforcement officers,they have enough criminal garbage to deal with on a daily basis and we don't need some low life's from West Sacramento in our town causing trouble!!! Well said.....the officer was right and the idiots were merely trying to prevoke her and start a fight. This letter writer and her a s s ociates were @ucking idiots!!
