I concur with the above post.
The Jesus that sat at the well and conversed with a woman that had had five husbands will not turn you away because of dancing.

All Jews dance...They have Jewish cultural dance. I am sure you have seen the Jewish folk dance. All Jews know how to use their dance heritage for thousands of years. A va na kila a va na kila.. I am sure you have heard and seen this dance.
All the JEwish wedings from the begining of time danced. I am sure Jesus did too. He was young and made the best wine for last at the weding.
Jesus was a Jew and grew up with the Jewish cultural dance and songs of Israel.

Tony wrote: <quoted text> You may be surprised to learn that certain forms of dancing were a part of Old Testament worship. Judges 11:34 presents an example of the daughter of one of the Israelite judges (Jephthah) dancing alone. Exodus 15:20-21 gives an account of women dancing to celebrate God’s deliverance of Israel from Egypt after the Red Sea crossing. Again, in Judges 21:19 we have an example of women dancing alone—without men. In 1 Samuel 18:6, women danced to celebrate one of King David’s victories. In 2 Samuel 6:14-16, in what was apparently an act of worship to God, David himself danced before the ark of the covenant. And Psalms 149:3 and 150:4 speak of praising God through dance. Turning to 1 Samuel 30:16, we read of soldiers (men only) dancing. In Ecclesiastes 3:4, Solomon wrote that there is a time for almost everything. He includes a “time for dancing,” in contrast to a “time for mourning.” And the prophet Jeremiah (31:13) foretold a time when dancing would be the joyous result of God’s work. So, you see, the Bible doesn’t condemn all dancing. But, please observe carefully the types of dancing it sanctions. Women dancing with women in celebration. Men dancing with men in celebration. Dances designed to reflect joy. Dances designed for worship. Furthermore, the Hebrew word used for dancing in the Old Testament refers simply to whirling and turning. However, the present day concept of sexually provocative holding of the opposite sex, or of mimicking human sexual acts while dancing, or drug fueled dances, are an outrage and abomination and is not aligned with biblical dancing. But biblical dancing is beautiful and can be freely done :-) God bless. Ahhh, but Sister White said...

I have heard that this church does not permit its members to dance, is that true? I am talking about classical ballet and tap and sometimes flamenco. I don't do jazz or hip hop or anything sexual and I don't go to clubs and dance or anythign like that. In ballet class we wear just leotards (bodysuits) and tights. I do it recreationally but sometimes perform on stage with the ballet company too. If someone could clarify the stance on dance (lol) within the church I would really appreciate it. Thank you! I am SDA 4th generation and I dance. My whole family dances. Church is church. You calling to dance from God is yours alone and that's between him and you only! I am very happy to encourage you to attend the SDA and your personal choices are yours. Also, I am a performer which is my God calling to my life. Some SDA have Purity Dances try to check those out OK? Do not be discouraged by old timers Quakers puritan thinkers. I also break dance! Peace and find joy!

Don't worry about that. A Church is a hospital for the sinners. Even how sinful you are, God still loves you. In fact, He came for you, for us (sinners). Matthew 9:13 says "...For I am not come to call the righteous, but the sinners to repentance." Even How sinful we are, God can change us. If we are willing to.
